Race control reporting the #96 of Mario Dominguez spun at the exit of turn 2; he made no contact and continues on

11 laps in the books............

Top-5 are Castroneves, Dixon, Briscoe, Wheldon and Mutoh..........and everyone dives onto pitlane for their first stops of the night; race control reporting all cars except the #18 of Bruno Junquiera stopped

.....problem for the #6 of Ryan Briscoe; apparently he pulled into the wrong pitstall(Wheldon's according to the internet feed) and will have to come back around........

.....and Briscoe will get a drive-through penalty for hitting Wheldon's pit equipment(which he will have to serve once the race goes back to green........... )


Junquiera leads from Castroneves, but is on a different fuel strategy and will have to pit a little bit later on.........

Junquiera comes down pitroad for fuel and tires; Castroneves assumes the lead

Green flag next time by; pace car exits at turn 1

And the green is back out; Castroneves leads 'em into one; Dixon in second, RHR in 3rd

Race control reporting the #14 has retired from the race; fuel pump failure the suspected reason.......

Castroneves continues to lead from Dixon and RHR; Patrick tries to get around Meira but can't make the pass stick..........

Patrick moves into 5th as she finally got around Meira; RHR makin' a run on the Kiwi, going to the outside through one and two......can't get it done, though and RHR falls back in line

Viso started dead-stick last on the field.......he now finds himself in 10th!

3-way fight btwn. Mutoh, Patrick and Carpenter for P4-P5-P6

Race control reporting that the #02 of Justin Wilson has suffered right-front suspension damage; Wilson had radioed his crew a few laps earlier, asking for a lot of front-wing adjustment.....unfortunately, he made contact somewhere ontrack and damaged the right-front suspension area and could be out of the race..........
