A driver off his peak is bad for the sponsors

As for his speed, I never thought he was fast in a level playing field

Do you have stats to prove that :D

Many people just pick the winner and become fans (follow the herd mentality)

5, 3, 4, 1, 1, 3, 2, 2, 5, 1, 1, 1, 1, ?

Those are some pretty nice stats as well. Show me an F1 driver in the paddock that can match that.
Sure nice stats but I and many read them as follows:

5, 3, 4, 1 (don't count after bumping Hill), 1, 3, 2 (actually 20th after being stripped of his ranking for bumping Villeneuve), 2, 5, the rest are 1's driving for a team that only allows for 1 driver and a helper.

So nice but tainted stats

1994,if you dont wanna count that as his championship then i think u'll be happy to remove one championship each from late Senna & from Prost too..
In 2000,2001,2003,2004 a clear winner on his own, without help from Barri.
2002 only one race.

JayVee,i'll surely put u in the category who loves to hate him

So what you are saying, is that after you take away all the "Tainted Stats", then he is still the most succesfull driver on the grid?

I only throw stats at people who throw stats at me. When I can be bothered of course.

Yes he was a clear winner on his own but in a single driver team. You see his team (and I am sure Barrichello would have told you this) only concentrates on him.

In all those seasons, he used to exclusively test the new car, in fact in 2003 I think he raced with the new car while poor Barrichello raced in the old car.

He gets the spare car at all the events except Brazil

He gets first call on strategy, etc...

With such an advantage no wonder Barrichello was nowhere.

Now let me ask you, if Michael is the great driver many here beleive, why demand a number 1 status. If you are good then you don't need an unfair advantage to beat your team-mate

I wouldn't put love and Michael in the same sentence

His past just shows how unsportsman he is and even now just look at how he behaves when he is in the midfield :!:

Statistically yes and he will probably retire once he beats Senna's poles but to me he won the last 5 based on an unfair advantage. Those figures don't impress me.

Prost's figures impress me far more as he didnt' have a Numero Uno status:
15, 5, 4, 2, 2, 1, 1, 4, 2, 1, 2, 5, - , 1

I'll give it one of those half hearted swings where you end up saying "oh darn it...i missed again" in a very sarcastic tone...

Fair enough, I think we can agree to disagree and be done with the argument.

One last thing... Schuey will do anything to win, including risking the life of others....does he really know how the accidents he has caused over the years are going to pan out each time? No! So, imho, not is he also an average driver, as we see today, he is also, again imho, a dangerous egotist who will endanger the lives of others for championship points.
