These rumours are apparantly based on "wide spread reports" (AutoAction Aust) in Japan, that Nissan is going to come into F1 with rebadged Renault engines. (Nissan made US$4.5 BILLION profit in the year ending March 2006, a sixth consecutive record profit........sget ready for Infiniti F1 !)
The engine deal would finance a Renault/Kimi/Nissan operation.

At about the time you would expect it, Flavio has started wailing about the 2007 tyre deal.....saying that the Bridgestone runners this year will have huge advantage.........well, Duh! He now wants Bridgestone to introduce a totaly new type of tyre with completely different characteristics to anything existing.
Just a thought.....if he doesn't get that, and I believe it won't happen, Flavio might be looking for a driver with a fair bit of Bridgestone knowledge

The French media is promoting the thought that Sebby Bourdais may fill a Renault seat if neither MS or Kimi sign !

With DC going to Toyota next year, Trulli will be available
(Sadly, the restraining order will not be lifted

)

First time I have heard of that. Is that just a rumour or confirmed?
If it is confirmed, the bloke in charge of buying drivers at toyota needs a swift kick up the bum with a pair of steel caps.

You dont think he would try and rope in someone like Button? Get him out of his Honda contract?

Why?!? Jenson isn't doing anything, but not finishing on podiums or in the points!
Trust me! Flavio and Renault's list looks like this:
Best case scenario = Raikonnen and Fisico driving [yes, Fisico is staying, ya putz!] with Hamilton and Kovalainen testing.
Next case scenario = Webber and Fisico driving with Hamilton and Kovalainen testing.
Last case scenario = Fisico and either Hamilton or Kovalainen driving with either Hamilton or Kovalainen testing.
Christmas comes early scenario = Alonso stays!!! Fisico, Hamilton and Kovalainen battle it out for the 2nd seat.
Briatore is not interested in any other drivers!
