There are Tin Tops, and there are Single Seaters. Each has something to offer.

It is sad to see Montoya go but he has been making far too many mistakes lately don't you think ?

Teams want consistency these days

But there are a few others that should go (have gone) but will still be there next season :(

If NASCAR makes him happy then all the best to him :D

Good luck to Montoya in Nascar. If his heart wasn't in F1 then it's the best decision he could make. He will be missed in F1.

I think he'll do pretty good; he and the Chipster(a/k/a Ganassi) have a good history going back to Montoya's CART days, so transitioning over shouldn't be as hard as it may seem. Rumor has it as soon as everything's set in place, Montoya may end up doing some Nextel Cup, Busch and ARCA series races as a prep to the 2007 season. Like I said, he should do pretty good.

This is the "best" rumour I have stumbled on, in ages.
Kimi is staying at McLaren, and JPM is going to Ferrari for '07,'08.

The young PK fills me with hope for your strange needs, Graham. All reports say he is extremely quick, a "natural", listens to no-one, has no self discipline, likes burgers, what more could you ask for :D

Is that Graham :?:

Welcome back

In some ways this season is a sad one for many, Villeneuve, Montoya and Michael are gone/going.

Good luck to him in Nascar and I hope he doesn't do something crazy!

Montoyas second event:
Formula One veteran Juan Pablo Montoya qualified third after finishing third in his career first stock car attempt at Talladega Superspeedway on October 6th.

"Great qualifying run," said Montoya, who will make his career first short track attempt in Sunday's Prairie Meadow 250. "Top three is pretty good so I'm very happy. I had a shot at winning the race at Talladega. It was a shame that we couldn't go all the way last week but it doesn't matter how we finish it's about getting the experience. At Talladega anybody can drive there. Here, you need to use the brakes a lot more and you need to know how to control yourself a lot more. I'm having fun and I'm loving it."
Seems the race didnt go quite as well as quali, finished 24th 42 laps down.
