Driver of the day for me was Jarno Trulli.

Considering that the Toyota is still languishing down the order, certainly not a top 4 car, and possible only a 6th or 7th best car, his qualifying performance was excellent, with more fuel than anyone expected, and he managed to hang on to a decent finishing slot . . . a pretty good effort given the machinery.

And what was Ralf Schumacher doing driving a car at such a slow pace. Alonso was close to run into him and Villeneuve crashed trying to pass him on the dirty side. One wonders what benefit Ralf had from circulating at such a slow pace.

Superb drive by Alonso :1st:
He made no mistakes while all those around him did.

Ralf Schumacher should be penalised. He stuffed Villeneuve's chances for a point :furious: :furious:

Coulthard did well starting last and finishing 8th. Trulli had a good race too.

What was Fisichella thinking ? Then he was nowhere, this is supposed to be on of his favourites. Yet they still signed him for next year

Alonso is winning and increasing his lead. He isn't being defensive as some are saying and Michael isn't even close to winning as others are saying (I hope they would stop blaming the Monaco penalty for losing the championship   )

Why no driver of the day poll ?

Alonso said that the team was thinking about taking a defensive attitude

I'm sure I saw Fonzi jump across the final chicane somewhere during the race

Just a little wee one then. Even a guy on top of his game and driving like a God can end up on the marbles, especially if they were put there on the racing line by a wayward Ralf 'does anyone want to play marbles?' (Wiggins? )

Yeah, I suppose after that many flawless races he deserves a 'get out of jail free' card....so I will let that one slide  :)

Just trying to justify his $20 mil, and doing a very poor job of it!
