Unless Vettel has anything left, it would appear Jenson Button will win Down Under!

Alonso threatening Rosberg for the final points-paying spot
4 second lead for Button; 3 laps remaining

Vettel and Kubica touch in turn 3!
Both cars crash!!!
Watching the Speed Channel broadcast.......................Kubica's into the wall, his day over......Vettel has front-left damage.............
Barrichello moves into 2nd..............
SAFETY CAR OUT!! SAFETY CAR OUT!!
This race is over...................Button, it seems, will win in Melbourne!
Watching the replay of the Vettel-Kubica schmozzel, I'm thinking, "Guys, what in the ---- are you doing? You got three laps left, what're you thinking?"

....and Vettel's parked it! Apparently, you can't run it on three wheels, even with Red Bull..............
Watching Kubica make that forlorn walk up pitlane...........
Button wins an interesting, somewhat chaotic Australian GP!
Top-8............
1--Button
2--Barrichello
3--Trulli
4--Hamilton
5--Glock
6--Alonso
7--Rosberg
8--Buemi
Brawn pulls off an improbable 1-2 finish; Jenson Button scores the 200th GP victory for a British driver...........is this going to be an interesting F1 season OR WHAT?

*still catching his breath*
As we watch Button triumphantly park the Brawn BGP001 into
parc Ferme, think about this...........a month ago, this team didn't exist and Button, one of the veterans of F1, didn't have a ride..............
Time for the anthems................maybe one day I'll get to hear "The Star-Spangled Banner" on an F1 podium..........

Before leaving for the night, the funniest post-race line so far goes to ar1.com's Mark Cipollini on the Australian GP.............
There was a lot to be impressed with in the 2009 season opener. Buemi showing very well I think, Button gets another deserved win. Rubens drives like a hack and gets second.
Normally I don't agree with the hack,---I mean, with ar1's Cip, but he's right, especially concerning both Buemi and Barrichello. Both ran opposite of what you'd expect from a rookie and a veteran and they still did well.........

Well done Stuart.
I was far too sleepy

and far too absorbed in the GP to attempt a post, it would have more than likely thrown you a curve ball and ruined was a very proffessional commentary. The BBC should be made aware of your talents!
Great day for Brawn, Jenson, Rubens and the boys from Brackley.
Jarno shone from the pitlane start, Rob and Seb did everything right apart from that last bit! perhaps someone should have told them they weren't racing for medals?
Lewis drove such a sound race in such a slow car, managing to overtake so many cars on the track. His lap times were atrocious!

Ooops I am very tired so you will have to forgive me for my forgetting to congratulate JB on the win. Well done to all at the newest team. Looks like we might be hearing a bit more from these guys in the future.

Trulli penalised 25 seconds for safety car infringement. Drops to 12th.
Sebastian very unfairly handed a 10-place grid penalty for next weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix.

And fined for continuing to peddle his damaged car.
