A call to order mates! The Montreal race was an excellent one from my perspective. It showed that Renault and Ferrari are the only professional (and complete) teams left in F1.
McLaren should be ashamed, really ashamed of their miserable pit crew work!

If I were Kimi, I'd take out an advert: "Wanted Serious F1 wheel changers and fuel specialists; world class driver caught in evil dream!"

As to Nico. Some one needs to take the boy aside and tell him: don't try that kind of stuff with Juan. Don't even try it with Scott Speed. You have to be AHEAD of someone to close the door me lad.
Michael drove a controlled and thoughtful race; he is remarkable. My hunch is that the wisest thing for Fernando to do is continue to win every race he can this year. Because next year he'll be lucky to see the podium.
Maybe. if Kimi will just listen to Flavio! Next year will be his?

I got a notification to submit me picks. I'm still too frazled to think about it. Right now I'd have to pick Fernando, Michael & Kimi again. Same order.
What happened to Fisichella? Does anyone understand how such a talented and intelligent chap can be such a *3@%-up? I mean I understand Ralphie. I even understand JV (he's a racer and a killer), but what is Fisi really up to these days? Is he another Rubens?
And what's Webbo doing blaming his qualy screw up on his team mate? Even if it's true (which I doubt), it makes him sound too much like little bro. for my comfort.

I have never tied it myself, but changing wheels while the darn things are still spinning seem like it could be a huge challenge, maybe the DRIVER could assist by applying the brakes.Jim Watt wrote:![]()

I thought the lollipop thingy had a big sign on it "BRAKE" untill it got flipped over just before being lifted?
Yes, the McLaren Team screwed up , but Kimi is also a part of the team. (IMHO)
It would have been awesome to see Kimi in front and see how FA would have reacted.
I'm in shape

Round is a shape...........

Thanks! I didn't know the kid apologized. As you say that tends to support Mark's complaint. As to Kimi's failure to apply the brakes; maybe that had something to do with his clutch problems? I mean he obviously had come to a stop before they hoisted the thing in the air. So if the wheels were spinning, was it because the clutch was not fully disengaging the drive shaft?
Whatever. As the trusty Speed network commentators suggested, though, the worst possible signal in the pits is the universal "what gives?" hands in the air one.
At any rate it will be really fun next year to watch Fernando deal with the Woking Merc boys under Mr. D. He appears to be more interested in architecture and corporate image making than in building or racing F1 machinery!
It's time for some new pirates to appear; it's time for Flavio and Ron and Jean T and F W to sit back with Jackie Stewart in the VIP suite and swap tales of the good old days when F1 was (in their H.O.) F1!!
I am hoping for better things next year (I'm always an optimist!); what if Red Bull muscles the Japanese manufacturers and the BMW boys to the back rows; wouldn't that be exciting?
Of course, it could all go even further south if Bernie and Max continue their infernal wanking with the engine rules. We might actually end up with everyone trying to get their hands on a pre-XXI century Cosworth!
Jim Watt, still looking for a Ferrari Win!

I feel your pain, however Fisico and Rubinho aren't doing the bad actually. Incidently, what happened to Massa and Button?Jim Watt wrote:What happened to Fisichella? If I were Raikkonen, unless I knew big changes were afoot in Woking, I'd be a-signin' with Flava Flavio!

Does anyone know if Alonso is going to take Renault to McLaren with him? That has happened before.RE30B#16 wrote:I feel your pain, however Fisico and Rubinho aren't doing the bad actually. Looks like there are a few hidden Schumacher fans. Driver of the day in Canada
Why ? What did he do to deserve that ?
He had a very poor start, was lucky to have 2 crazy guys crash each other out in front of him then he was no where until his brother caused Villeneuve to crash bringing out the safety car which allowed him to close the gap to Raikkonen. He than passed him because Raikkonen made a mistake. How many times did he cross that chicane ? He nearly crashed out after brushing that wall
So what makes him driver of the day ? Can one of those voting for him please explain
