OK having read the race report in Autosport (and taking the obligatory pinch of salt) I change my vote to Lewis from Fernando, which means at this moment in time Fernando has 7 votes and Lewis has 6. I didn't realise that Lewis had five to six laps more fuel on board during qualifying! I didn't take into account tyre graining induced by following in dirty air upto 3 secs behind the car infront. Nor did I take into account the raft of team orders and strategy decisions that had to be made in order to keep Lewis from overtaking Fernando.
Whilst it looked like a masterful display of conservational and consistent driving on Fernando's part, Lewis was in point of fact being hampered and shackled during the race and was significantly faster than his Fernando all weekend. To the tune of 3 tenths of a second.
The rest of the season is going to be very interesting indeed because Ferrari are not going to lie down and Lewis isn't either. If he continues to be faster and tell it like it is, Fernando's confidence is going to suffer, team moral will suffer and McLaren are going to find themselves with nothing to show for the season! Apart from a giant rift that Africa would be proud of and two really pi**ed off drivers!

I think we are indeed going to have a very interesting year. You would have to expect Lewis to win one or more races this year.

It amazing how people raise their own expectations and others as well from just a few races!
Now the talk is Hamilton would have lead Alonso by miles at Monaco
And he will be winning the next race or two or ten perhaps!
Then he will leave McLaren and go to Ferrari
Why ? Hamilton being the nice guy he is, does anyone really think he will dump Dennis after looking after him all those years ? Would Hamilton even consider leaving his (second) family. No way!
People, give the guy a chance, give him some time, last year many thought Kubica was the best thing since .... and this year he is good but Heidfeld is better.
Hamilton will wake up from his dream soon and I am afraid all those high expectations will have to be adjusted.
Of course then there will be silence

I only stated that I thought you would have to expect LH to win at least one race this year. I don't think that overall he will beat Alonso but he is much better (so far) than I expected, but that would not be hard as I knew nothing about him. As for going to Ferrari well that was just being funny.

LH is a very single minded fella..........ask Denis...........if Denis keeps him back.......LH will go to the highest bidder......and not even send Denis a christmas card

Is Lewis choosing to have his first pit stop later than Alonso in every race so far this season except for Bahrain
Or is he merely Alonso's rear gunner
Also Lewis has had 3 fastest laps this year compared to Alonso's 2.
Not bad for a rookie

So far Hamilton made only one major mistake and that was during the practice. Now, Alonso is entitled to make mistakes of his own of course but given that Hamilton is still a rookie one would think that he's bound to make more mistakes than Alonso in the long run. I am actually surprised that Hamilton has managed to handle the pressure that well until now. He's a good driver and strong-minded racer. Whether he will become "great" shall yet be seen.

I am not sure that Hamilton has a say in the matter. My bet is that either Alonso or the team is setting up the scenario. Rear-gunner might be a tad too strong a description but Hamilton is definitely number 2 (pardon the pun, hee hee). If he beats Alonso a few times in a row the roles could change. Then again I am known to be wrong at times

The top four are so close, this season is going to be decided by whoever has the least number of bad races.
When it comes to making your own luck, ie ability to keep a level head, make the most of things, and to not break the car, I would have to say the two Maccas drivers probably have the edge over the Red team, therefore they will have less bad races and one of them will probably win.
Lewis is yet to have a bad (race) day.
Kimi might have used up all his luck already.
Each track will be diffierent favouring either the Mclaren or the Ferrari, as we have seen already. Each race has been followed by predictions of Maclaren or Ferrari dominance for the year only to have it turned on its head the next race.
This could turn out to be one of the most interesting seasons for a long time.
