It is raining in Shanghai!

Teams and drivers can choose which compound to start on. I don't believe it is regulated that teams inform the FIA which compound they are using.

Race control reporting that the Toyota of Timo Glock will start from the end of pit lane; he suffered a 5-spot penalty when the team had to change gearboxes, so they have opted for the pitlane start(could there be a podium in the works.........it worked for Trulli in Melbourne, right?   )

Sebastian Vettel starts from Pole with Fernando Alonso alongside him.
Mark Webber is 3rd with Rubens Barrichello alongside him
Jenson Button is 5th with Jarno Trulli alongside him

Due to the wet conditions, the race is going to start behind the safety car

OT......I still don't know why they're complaining about the diffusers; the three teams in question(Brawn, Toyota, Williams) figured out how to build a better mousetrap and both the stewards and the FIA agreed w/them, so why are the others still complaining.........?

Just out of curiousity, when was the last safety car start? IIRC, it was Fuji 08', correct?
