Perhaps you have stumbled on a bug!

As this thread is a collection of posts that belong in nowhere then we cannot predict their behaviour.

But you can try to untick the notify box and see what happens.

This thread is the thread that could spell the end of the world as we know it :) First thing I did when I joined was to turn off the notification...

Yikes! Ed has had a tidy up and everything I've said for the past eight days has ended up on this thread!

Hmm, is it at all possible to say anything :offtopic: in this thread? :D If so, where would that post go? :?:

An interesting philosophical question. Were I to mention Formula One it would definately be off topic of me however I suspect that it would meet the criteria of being off topic. If you were to reply and maintain a discource with the F1 aspect of the previous post it would indeed contravene the premise or tenet of the thread and thus constitute being off topic. I sense a profound paradox of "chicken and egg" proportions. Life is profoudly paradoxical and thus this thread probably constitutes the closest this forum has come to producing life!

May it's heart beat forever, however long that is.

Very interesting Snowy!

Perhaps we should have a special thread for this philosophical question :D

Not always does a topic stray into all sorts of directions, sometimes (and amazingly so) a clear topic emerges from a number of irrelevant posts, at that stage we would move this newly evolved topic to its own thread

We have one.its called Snowys thread, and we are not allowed to post in it.......which poses an interesting philosophical question

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
And the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
And the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
Then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash,
And the double-clicking icons put your window in the trash,
And your data is corrupted 'cause the index doesn't hash,
Then your situation's hopeless, and your system's gonna crash!

You can't say this?
What a shame sir.
We'll find you another game sir!

If the label on your cable on the gable at your house,
Says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
But your packets want to tunnel to another protocol,
That's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall.

And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss,
So your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse,
Then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
'Cause as sure as I'm a poet, the s@&*^'s gonna hang!

When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy on the disk,
And the microcode instructions cause unnecessary RISC,
The you have to flash your memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM,
Quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your mom!

By a Dr. Seuss emulator   :D
