or you could say that darkness is instantious and that light is just in the way of it but it is there its just that photons are blocking it and that when they are gone it is instnatly there.

However, the vacuum flux guarantees their will always be some small amount of light as long as there is spacetime. Hence, what we call darkness is relative and obeys the Uncertainty Principle. This means, of course, that it's speed can be greater than that of light, especially since it carries no energy or information.

A very interesting little signature you have there Julian...What of Black holes, Dark Matter and Dark Energy? These quotes were on a physics forum but strangely the administrator moved the original post to a philosophical thread. Scientists are incapable of dealing with anything remotely abstract or challenging, prefering to accept that the reality that we are currently capable of measuring is actually reality itself and everything outside it doesn't affect it or exist in reality. The fact that they can't account for 99% of the universe doesn't seem to trouble them one jot  Ho hum...The speed of dark...I like that a lot...is that attributable to anyone?

Black hole is the place I used to live in with my ex.
Dark Matter is my ex
Dark Energy is her mood,
combined they are a constant in the universe, which Astronomers refer to
as a shifting point of perpetual reference. Definitely not sourced as a reference point by philosophers 8)

I'm not going near her Julian.
From what you say, she is the devil re-incarnated.
