Jarno takes provisional pole over half a second ahead of Fisichella on aggregate. Only Alonso to go!

Alonso takes Pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of Trulli

Alonso aggregate time was a 3:07.672 while Trulli's a 3:07.925

WOW Alonso is quick. Trulli is quick too and I suspect is light

Webber was quick too but not quick enough!

A bit disspointed with Montoya !!

Looks like Toyota and Red Bull are the two teams making big steps in addition to Renault of course

Should be a good race

Webber, the 2 Red Bulls and Barrichello gained from yesterday while the 2 McLarens, Heidfeld, Michael and Massa lost places.

Alonso is nearly 0.6 seconds faster than Fisichella. If they are on similar loads and they usually are then that would be a blow to Fisichella.

Unless Alonso just wanted to grab pole as he knew Trulli would be on low fuel so he too went on low fuel. Possible ?

Seems Red Bull are lightish while Mclaren are heavy

Ferrari .... when was it that they qualified outside the top 12
perhaps a question for the quizmaster 8)
