Wow! The championship decided on the final lap of the race. When Massa crossed the line he was Champion in waiting but as Glock struggled on his dry tyres, Hamilton made up that crucial place and finished 5th to win the title. Amazing!
Massa did what he had to do and won the race in style as he never looked threatened by anyone. Alonso capitalised on stopping early for dry tyres after the early shower and moved up into second and managed to hang onto that position ahead of Raikkonen who before the rain at the end looked set to take 2nd place from Alonso.
Vettel had another good result managing 4th doing well particularly under wet or changing conditions.
Hamilton's strategy of finishing 5th worked but that was too close. He ended up finishing 5th as Glock struggled on his dry tyres on the final lap and lost more than the 12 second lead he had over Vettel and Hamilton and ended up finishing 6th. Amazing really.
Kovalainen manages 7th in yet another average performance from the Finn while Trulli like Glock was on dry tyres and lost a lot of time on the final lap ending up 8th.
Your thoughts and the driver of the day ?

Felipe was clearly the driver of the day, with all that pressure he was serene and majestic and would have made a great and worthy Champion this year. McLaren and Lewis came to this GP in a terrifically strong position with a car that would not have been out of place at Monza. They seemed almost desperate to throw both championships away. Interlagos is not a low downforce circuit at the best of times but when there is a 90% chance of rain! It seemed like a staggeringly erroneous choice before the race and lets face it I wasn't proved wrong. The car had the pace of a very tired and over weight gnat.

Lewis Hamilton & Jenson Button World Champions
