It would be good if MS tried something different before he retired. I loved it when Mansell went to cart. I am not sure if MS remembers how to change gears properly though.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

The ChampCars(and IndyCars) over here use a sequential-shifter for the gearboxes, so it shouldn't be too difficult for Schumacher to learn. He might have to get used to two things in a ChampCar--1)the turbochargers ChampCar uses put a helluva' kick in the engine, which helps at some tracks, and 2)there's a "boost" function now(you get 60-90 secs. of extra boost in the turbo/about 50 extra hp) so if he needs to pass Tracy or Bourdais he can just "boost" his way past em'(unless Tracy tries to "chrome horn" his way back...now that might be an interesting sight to see).

Given the titles he had won, there is no way Michael would go from Formula 1 to any other form of motorsport

No one gives up that easily. Even if he gives up tomorrow, I would be extremely suprised if I didn't hear of him joining a Le Mans team. At the very least he would be a driver in the 24hrs races.

True but by Michael going to another series what would he be proving ? What if he stuffs up ?

A one off in a few years maybe but to compete in a series I very much doubt it.

If he came over here, and raced in an American LeMans Series event(say, the 12 Hrs. of Sebring, the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta) you'd definitely get an instant attendance boost from him being there. If he raced at Le Mans for the 24 Hrs. you'd have the longest line of racers wanting to either race w/him or race agst. him, rah.

Race drivers like to race. He might take a year off, but he is a race driver. He will race, I gaurantee.

I'll back where I am supposed to be, in the lead. Just to prove that NOT picking Bambino driver doesn't hurt your chances much :D Picking him DOES :shock: :lol:

And why the serious discussion at the F1Idiots bar huh ? Haven't we had enough of Bambino driver for the last what 7 years :D

julian, is that you or Webber ? but Sam Michael says they'll have strong engines next year so what are you worried about ? He won't bluff now would he ?
