that was actually the teenagers comment. Good God the girl can think again  I should explain a little about "IT" . It has been to most circuits in OZ, has finally outgrown the lifelong ambition of driving the 'Donut" utes, and wants to fly Jet Fighters for the RAAF. Might be something to do with a 8 day trip to Hidden Valley n Back. 3 up, n 3 back, 2 days at the track.

Speaking of Asheville, am I just making this up or are there some hot springs in the area? I am thinking of visiting one such location for some quality R&R.

Good for you. After having been stranded for 6+hrs because of an airboat failure I do not go out on swamps with names more than 2 syllables :P

No, there's a place up NW of Asheville called, incidentally enough, Hot Springs, NC(credit for finding the place goes to visitnc.com; check out their website sometime...... www.visitnc.com ). There should be a few great places around there of interest for R&R. If you do visit, don't forget to take a drive up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway; this time of year, the leaves are changin' colors and there's lots of vibrant hues about for anyone to see. Now that I think of it, I might start a 'NC mountains' thread here in the lounge and talk more about this part of the state, if anyone's interested.

Again, thanks for asking, gkaytaz; barkeep, another round for him! :drink: :drink:

Love the Appalachians. Despite the fact that my every visit to NC was quite brief, it is one of the top three states in my book (the other two being SC and VA). I lived in MI, TX, IL and NY but so far none came close to the three above.

People, I would ask that you all spare a thought for Jacfan and her family. Her Mother died this morning.
Condolences, Jacfan, from me and mine.
