This could be a massive race for Massa or Button. These 2 aren't going to get a better chance to notch up their 1st win with MS & FA effectively out of contention
watching Barra n Button could be fun

Schuumaker is blaming Alonso for his two second penalty, saying that Alonso slowed dramatically, forcing Schuey to pass him under the red flag.

I take part of tis back. It was late & I was tired. Button has a 10 plae penalty. He has NO chance as well. Massa or kimi, that is it!!
It will take engine failure etc or an accident for anyone else to win.

Nup.
Williams gets it wrong, and the Webbomobile holds together for a whole race.
Massa takes out Kimi on turn one
Alonso and Scheuy pass each other twice under the resultant red flag
fisi gets to the lead.....and faints
The podium:
Webbo, The Barra, Kubica.

While I believe Massa should win
, I feel the race is really between Raikkonen and Barrichello. Alonso and MiShoe have a lot of cars to pass. I would not be surprised if either of those two still won, but I'm not counting on it at this point. Alonso simply needs to finish in front of Schumacher and hopefully in the points.
My gut says Kimi, but Rubinho can get it done it that thing stays together. Massa will be 3rd if he finishes.

Both Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso received penalties from the practice sessions and had 2 seconds added to their qualifying times. As a result Michael qualified 12th and Fernando qualified 15th. Michael will start 11th on the grid as Jenson Button dropped from 4th to 14th due to an engine change.

Drivers are trying the full wets and intermediates. Looks like the Michelin runners may go for intermediates while Bridgestone runners may go for full wets.
Massa has a spin on his way out to the grid.

Ed,
Which tyre maufacturer is thought to have the advantage this season in the current conditions?

It is raining lightly on the grid but there is a lot of water on the track.

It really depends on how much water is on the track and how long it will take for the track to dry. On full wets it is beleived that the Bridgestone have a big advantage but on intermediates Michelin may have an advantage. It is pretty much speculation though as this is the first wet race we've had this season.

It looks like some drivers are opting for dry tyres! Webber seems to be one of those.
Of course if a team expects the rain to stop and the track to dry quickly, they could take the risk of going out on dry and saving themselves an early pit stop. If it continues to rain though they will have to make an extra pit stop and switch to intermediates or full wets.
Race starts in just over 5 minutes
