This is one of the fears people had with the late start in Malaysia as it is almost guaranteed that it pours around 6 PM and it did!

The rain has eased. Whether it will be enough to restart the race remains to be seen.

The safety car is not going around the track yet

The signal to restart must be given 10 minutes prior to restarting

Cars from position 3 onwards will be asked to go around as they are considered to be a lap down

Less than 20 minutes remain. The race will not complete 75% distance and only half points will be awarded.

I'm going to tune into the touring cars.

Jenson was particularly quick just before his first stop, like a full second faster than any other car seemed capable of. 8)

The 10 minute signal has not been given. There is 11 minutes remaining until 2 hours so practically speaking the race is over!

With no 10 minute signal and with under 8 minutes for the 2 hour limit. The Malaysian Grand Prix is over.
