It certainly is a long one Julian, you should be proud.

I don't know about this drifting business. Don't get me wrong, no one would like to see F1 cars drifting more than I, but drifting would tear up tyres way to fast. And WRC and sprintcars are some of the very few categories that benifit from it. (drifting comps included of course)
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Tyre wear will not be a problem with the regs. I am not talking about lurid tyre smoking tail out driving, rather almost imperceptible drifts across the apex. 8)

Testing continued at Jerez with 7 teams present and 13 drivers setting lap times.

Fernando Alonso bettered the best time set yesterday by Alex Wurx by over a second. Jenson Button was second while Juan Pablo Montoya running the latest spec Mercedes engine was 3rd fastest.

Alonso set a time of 1:16.956 which is the fastest so far for a 2006 spec car.

Renault's test driver Heikki Kovalainen had a rear wing problem and the team was forced to halt testing on the car until the problem is rectified. The team will run just one car tomorrow and possibly for the remainder of the test.
Rubens Barrichello had a problem in the morning limiting his running.

At Fiorano, Michael Schumacher concluded a 3 day testin the Ferrari 248 F1. He covered 76 laps with a best time of 57.647 improving slightly on the fastest time he set yesterday.

Testing continues at Jerez tomorrow with Toro Rosso joining the test while Ferrari move to the Sakhir circuit commencing on the 13th.

Sort of like Rossi on 2 wheels, the guys who can 2wheel drift win, and those who can't follow

JayVee,

While it was reported that the Bahrain test was a private test for Ferrari, the test actually isn't and at least one other team has confirmed their attendance and that is the Honda team

Testing continued at Jerez with 8 teams present and 14 drivers setting lap times.

Pedro de la Rosa driving the interim MP4-20 V10 set the fastest time of the day ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella in the Renault R26 and Mark Webber in the Williams FW28.

de la Rosa set a best time of 1:17.451 while Fisichella's best time was a 1:17.479.

Kimi Raikkonen who took over from Juan Pablo Montoya had limited running following a gearbox problem as well as an engine oil leak in the morning.
There were problems for the 2 BMW Sauber cars, Nico Rosberg in the Williams, Tiago Monteiro in the MF1 Racing and Vitantonio Luizzi in the Toro Rosso.

Honda and Toyota have concluded their test at Jerez. 6 teams remain for the final 'dry' day of testing tomorrow.

Hmmm, the Williams finally seems to be on the pace, but Nico is still more than a second off.......and before you all start slinging barbs n arrows (no F1 puns please) I really want to see him do well....but I want Williams to do well more.
The McLaren IS looking rather fragile.
Whaat time would Alonso have set JV. :?:
