If you dig them you'd love Baca Beyond, Yousou N'dor and perhaps even Ali Farka Toure, However there are two albums that will really rock your boat "Sensual Sensual" by B Tribe and "Freedom (Lets Take It)" by Boukman Eksperyans.
I've started to get into World and African music a couple of years ago. A friend recommended Deep Forest and I enjoyed their best of album. I have an album for Youssou N'Dour (for 7 seconds). Also on African/Rai I enjoy Cheb Khaled's work but especially Aicha.
Villeneuve recomended Manu Chao (Clandestino) on his website a few years ago and I got the album and it is worth it!!
Thanks for the recomendations, I will certainly look for those.
7 seconds with Neneh Cherry is an outstanding track
I too am listening to Cheb!

I haven't heard any Manu Chao will find some straight away
I have a rather interesting compilation album with a really great variety of talented artists. It's called "A Putumato Blend, Music from Coffee Lands". It is full of really moving songs and rhythms.

Last time someone mentioned a rod things got out of hand

So I ain't touching the subject.
Milli Vanilli makes me think of Boney M, Bananarama and Modern Talking

my server was

One little dark cloud in the sky, that looks like it may have 1 drop of rain in it, and the local exchange dies in the back side
