Alan Jones had the greatest will to win, Senna same, J Stewart..same.....Jim Clark....same....Fangio probably more than anyone. MS is not only over the edge he is halfway down the vertical drop.F1greyhound wrote:Thanks Julian, GhoGho, F-1 NUT
Fair to say MICHAEL is no saint(not sure anyone else is..), he has the greatest will to win one can imagine. I see it as moving close to the edge...
CHEERS!
None of those guys woulld have tipped Hill off the way MS did.
Geeez last year MS took out MW who was about to lap him.
IMHO the guy has a pathological dread of being beaten, regardless of where he is in the pack.
The Mountain is a savage Mistress.

Jeez Julian,
there have been quite a few good passes on MICHAEL where he didnt shoot the other guy off. I remember interviews with DAMON and MIKA praising him as a hard but fair competitor. And himself has every time a good word for his opposition, maybe more so than anyone else. AYRTON was at least as hard and as far as I can remember he took defeat worse, plus I can hardly remember anything positive from him about his competitors or teammates. Im also missing conspiracies about GERHARD driving as a clear No.2 just for him.
Dont things from the past always appear in a brighter light?

Not your memory of the great Ayrton Senna!F1greyhound wrote:AYRTON was at least as hard and as far as I can remember he took defeat worse, plus I can hardly remember anything positive from him about his competitors or teammates. Don't confuse history with hype. Only Alain Prost had issues with Senna. He received praise and reverence from everyone else especially his other teammates [Berger, Hakkinen, deAngelis, and Hill]. Mansell thought he was the toughest, purist racer he had ever faced.
