Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for an impressive drive. Despite not pitting when the safety car was deployed, he managed to recover and win the race.
Nelson Piquet finishing second would have to be one of the most unexpected results of the season. His first and only stop came just before the safety car was deployed.
Felipe Massa didn't have the pace to match Hamilton and managed 3rd. Nick Heidfeld continues his recovery and finishing ahead of Kubica would be a good result for him. He also opted not to stop when the safety car was deployed.
Heikki Kovalainen managed 5th in what appears as an average race for him given the pace of Hamilton. And by the way he let Hamilton pass him he is clearly playing a support role to Hamilton this season.
Kimi Raikkonen had a dissapointing race by his standards. There was a glimpse of brilliance soon after the safety car returned to the pits when he made up 3 places.
Robert Kubica looked strong in the first stint but then didn't seem to have the pace and ended up 7th.
Sebastian Vettel managed to put his Toro Rosso in 8th place and that was impressive particularly that he successfully fought off Alonso a number of times.
Your thoughts and the driver of the race ?
