Barrichello is actually closing in on Michael!

Monteiro is 3rd 9 seconds behind, Albers is 4th, Karthikeyan 5th and Friesacher is 6th

Some fans are leaving, some are throwing water bottles on the track!

so who do we blame for this? Max? Michelin? Personally I'm inclined to put most of the blame on Michelin. A compromise should have been made but ultimately the issue is down to the tyre makers providing a product that meets both the requirements of the teams and the rules of the sport. While I hate agreeing with Max and Charlie Whiting I really do sympathise with their stand.

hopefully there will be enough rubbish thrown on the track that they have to call off the race!!
Who is to blame? Every one! That a sensible compromise could not have been reached by all parties for the sake of F1 worldwide is reprehensible. Once again the fans are the ones to suffer. What this has done for F1 in America, god only knows!

Julian, Can't agree with you on that one - there are 6 drivers out there travelling pretty quickly. This is a cluster.... of a monumental order but putting them at further risk is not the answer.

My biggest concern is the impact this will have on F1 in the US market.

Yes initially Michelin have made a mistake no doubt however when the teams and the FIA can't find a solution, they are all to blame.

This has highlighted an issue again that some of the rules don't have a second option!

And there is potential for two finishers only, it is a farce! Why they could not compromise, and keep the "big picture" that F1 displays to the world as their priority, underscores what is intrinsically wrong with F1. If this is a taste of 2008 I am off to watch the F1i boats. And I bloody hate F1 boats  I got up at 3:30 am to watch this rubbish. Bah!
