Problem is that you can't cause they aren't facts! You just made them up  :D
See you can wrongly accuse yourself of not making up stuff
That is a fabrication on your part, and I am well and truly over being "'flamed" by you.
Almost all your posts these days consist of attacks on people, rather than being the interesting stimulating posts of the past. If you feel that is necessary however, I would prefer you to keep attacking me and my posts, rather than other people, as it has little or no effect. What effect it does have is merely a trifle irksome. Try to have a nice day.

When you or anyone else posts something without quoting the source or when you post something and label it as fact when it isn't, I will certainly object if I don't think it makes sense.

Even when quoting the source, one should think about it. Journos do spread rumours too!
Just look at how many times you said Webber will join Renault in 2007 ? He ended up at Red Bull which no one expected early on (except for me that is ... go look in the 2007 lineup thread  ) Actually when I suggested Red Bull is a better bet than Williams you laughed at my suggestion (in the Mark Webber thread!).

And you still have to prove those so called facts of yours in that other thread.

Problem is that you can't cause they aren't facts! You just made them up  :D

What?????? I never said that Mark was going to Renault. I might have hoped he would be hope is different to saying he is.
As for accusing me of making things up... I just posted something I read and said that it was from someone else. What so called facts from other threads????

I haven't fabricated anything.

You stated something as a fact and you couldn't prove it.

When you slip in a statement that some people wrongly accuse you, you are the one who is flaming and I will remind you of your so called facts.

It just seems that you just can't handle being proved you are wrong

I don't attack people, people attack me. I was the one who was attacked when I voted for Alonso as driver of the day in Turkey and I have the right to reply.

If your aim is to have me quit this forum just because I don't subscribe to your way of posting/replying it won't work.

What an absolutely stupid, offensive, demeaning thing to post JayVee.
Shame on you.

Rubbish, this language doesn't work with me.

I ask you straight to put up those so called facts of yours and you don't yet you insist what you say is right.

Why are you spreading misleading and wrong things about me ? yet you get away with saying things that are wrong ?

If you mean things as a joke, please state so otherwise I take it seriously.

And remember that two weeks ago you said:
I will surely make glib comments in the future, however I will no longer indulge myself by responding to argumentative, distorting, posts. Nor will I create them.
I for one, am sick of posts denigrating Schumaker. Most F1 fans agree that he is perhaps not the most ethical driver in the world. I personally have a very low opinion of him as a man.
Equally I am in awe of his driving ability.
Similarly, I am over people eulogising other drivers to a ridiculous level, which simply raises peoples ire.
Yet you are indulging in an argumentative post which you created when you said:
I get a regular boot up the b ackside from someone for posting stuff I have gleaned from other sources....I have even been wrongly accused of making it up
And you have since called Schumacher, Scummaker as if that isn't denigrating and continue to do so.

Where is the new Julian ?

Julian and JayVee:
It's not that I am against expressing ones opinions. However whenever one of you two say something (anything) that thread goes up in flames. There may be no exact rights or wrongs here and even if there were, I could certainly not be the judge of that. Still I know this: Most of the time the way one says something is much more important than what one actually says. Constructive critisizm is always welcome. Being two of the most active and respected members of this forum it might be a good idea if you two bury the hatchet and try to get along better. :flag:

No let Julian and JayVee slug it out.

I haven't had alot of time to read Forum posts lately but I just P**S myself with laughter seeing these two duke it out. :D :D

It's sort of like Schumi and Alonso going tit for tat. (Sorry Julian I know you're not a Schumi fan but you could hardly be Alonso could you!!!)

Thank you gkaytaz,

I don't know how long you've been browsing this forum before you joined. But let me tell you that on a number of occassions I've had heated exchanges with Julian. His problem is that he says something, you remind him of what he said and he either doesn't acknowledge it or laughs it off. There is an recent example of that with another female member on another thread.
I got used to that eventually but when Julian (or anyone else for that matter) posts something as a FACT and it isn't, or takes the moral high ground then does the opposite I will point that out and I don't really care what the consequences are. I do not like skewing facts, to me it is spreading misleading information and I think we have enough of that going around in the world that we even tolerate here.

A couple of examples:

Stating WRONG FACTS:

On the 10th of August in the "Webber confirmed at Red Bull" thread
Julian Mayo wrote: Heidfield outscored Webber thru Webber retiring with mechanical failure more.
Fact.
WRONG

Here are the results for the two when both were driving at Williams:

Australia
Webber - 5th - 4 pts
Heidfeld Accident w/Schumacher

Malaysia
Webber - Accident w/Fisichella
Heidfeld - 3rd - 6 pts

Bahrain
Webber - 6th - 3 pts
Heidfeld - Engine failure (1st Mechanical retirement)

San Marino
Webber - 7th - 2 pts
Heidfeld - 6th - 3 pts

Spain
Webber - 6th - 3 pts
Heidfeld - 10th

Monaco
Webber - 3rd - 6 pts
Heidfeld - 2nd - 8 pts

Europe
Webber - Accident w/Schumacher
Heidfeld - 2nd - 8 pts

Canada
Webber - 5th - 4 pts
Heidfeld - Engine failure (2nd Mechanical retirement)

France
Webber - 12th
Heidfeld - 14th

Britain
Webber - 11th
Heidfeld - 12th

Germany
Webber - Not classified - Accident at start
Heidfeld - 11th

Hungary
Webber - 7th - 2 pts
Heidfeld - 6th - 3 pts

Turkey
Webber - Retired/tyres (1st Mechanical retirement)
Heidfeld - Retired/tyres (3rd Mechanical retirement)

Total:
Webber - 24 pts
Heidfeld - 28 pts

Mechanical related failures:
Webber - 1 - Tyres
Heidfeld - 3 - 2 Engine failures + 1 Tyres

So as everyone can see, Julian's statement is WRONG and despite that he states it as a FACT.

Yet he doesn't acknowledge it which makes you wonder if it is a case of:
Similarly, I am over people eulogising other drivers to a ridiculous level, which simply raises peoples ire.
Something which Julian all of sudden started to preach

And talking about preaching, well Julian calls Michael Schumacher, Scummaker, now I think everyone agrees that this is denigrating. What is worse is that Julian took the moral high ground on the 15th of August in the same thread mentioned above and said
I for one, am sick of posts denigrating Schumaker. Most F1 fans agree that he is perhaps not the most ethical driver in the world. I personally have a very low opinion of him as a man.
Equally I am in awe of his driving ability.
Less than a week later he said on the Turkish Preview thread
This is a power circuit. Imho, if Renault are allowed to refit the damper system, which stabilises the car and assists aero, and it is not too hot Alonso will win. If they cannot, and it is hot, Scummaker will win 8)
Just 2 examples.

I don't have anything against Julian or anyone else but I will put my 2 cents worth when someone posts something that is either wrong or could be read in a wrong way.
And no contrary to what Julian tries to spread, that is not the only time I post. It isn't arguing that I enjoy but I hate those posts with wrong and misleading facts.

For the sake of not taking over a thread, if a wrong fact is posted, I will state that and that will be the end of it from me.
