I am just going to tip toe very, very quietly into the corner and hope JV doesn't notice me

If Yoong can get one then Rossi can get one while sleeping- No actually he can not. There are specific requirements, where a driver have aceived certain results in autoracing, which Yoong met and Rossi does not. You surely recall that raikkonen was NOT qualified to a Superlicense, and raced the first races under a form of supervision.
Off what pace ? The lap record ? How many laps did he do, how many days ? - Yes of the laprecord, I do not recall how many laps, I am sure not a whole lot of them, and only one day so no feeling yourself in. Does not chnage the fact that he was not especially fast the day he ran a F1 car.K-D wrote:Other could be that in contempoary F1 car he has sofar been 4 seconds of pace. Hardly the thing legends are made of.
Yes Castle Master. Not only are you the Ferrari Ambassador here but also the FIA'sK-D wrote:I do think that he is an awesome Motorcycle racer, but we have seen to many "normal" autoracers being hyped before they made it to F1, that I am willing to accept him directly into a F1 seat.
- As have become your modus operandi, you are placing an intent into my posts, that are not there. The issue of how good Rossi could possibly be, have zero to do with the FIA. I am Danish and with the rest of Denmark, expected Jan Magnussen to be the one toppling Michael Schumacher, obviously he was not worth anything in a F1 car, and have since he was fired basically been a has.been in a number of cars, but no-where near the front of the various series he races in. Pizzonia was the British F3 champion, he is not a good enough F1 driver. Pantano was supposed to be the next great Italian driver, he was not. Pierro many years ago, had 4 - 5 seasons worth of underacheivement, as can be said for Verstappen.
Hype is one thing, and you should not place to much into that.
For the record I still think that Raikkonne should NOT have been granted a Superlicense when he was.
Sorry mate but your mod'd Ute gives you away.julian mayo wrote:I am just going to tip toe very, very quietly into the corner and hope JV doesn't notice me

Now stop moving

You take things too seriously sometimes. I am only joking. - Surely not in the racing forum????![]()
Of course Rossi would have to go the mandatory 300 laps or whatever the requirement for a super license is. You cannot compare him to the kid Raikkonen! - Now seriously, I think that the Superlicense requirements are to lax (seppling) as it is, and I think that no driver should ever be given once, without meeting the requirements. None to Rossie, and Raikkonen should not have had one, when he did.
Michael Schumacher in the F2005 was lapping 4 seconds slower than the lap record. Hardly the thing legends ......- Apples and Oranges.
Ok so you are the Danish ambassador so I understand your point about Magnussen but what does a Brazilian, an Italian and a Dutchman have to do with Denmark.
Good Morning (your time)
but I don't mind someone with hype to come into F1. If they become a dissapointment then be it but at least we can chat about them
Perhaps I can apply for one. Experience driving a Camira and a Nimbus would count for a lotK-D wrote:JayVee wrote:Of course Rossi would have to go the mandatory 300 laps or whatever the requirement for a super license is. Parts of this will happen (again) at Le Mans this year.- Loeb will race one of the Pescarolo's.Graham Ross wrote:I doubt anyone with Rossi's calibre would jump into F1 without going through the proper process. Testing, etc....
I would very much doubt though that he'd start in F2 or F3 first.
I think it would be great to see drivers cross from other formats like bikes and rally
Very weak point.julian mayo wrote:Not quite the cross over that some might think, he started in rally as a tarmac specialist![]()
