If memory serves there was a user in this forum using the nickname tifosi a while ago. He (or was that a she?) vanished into thin air...

I am not really a Ferrari fan but now that Renault is out of the picture and BMW just not fast enough I hope they remain competitive for the sake of competition and exciting races.
I havent vanished just been photocopying ferrari plans!! and spending my huge cheque from both honda ferrari oh and a fella called richards...evening all!!

Ah but the question remains... he or she. Since you have mentioned a wife in a comment in the lounge then I am opting for a "he" though I could be wrong.

Hey gkaytaz, have you no shame luring young ladies with a bit of imported red in your garage?

So Coughlan agreed to speak with Ferrari, do you think we will still hear the juicy bits? :threat:

Emphasis on "if" :)

jacfan is a distinguished young lady. I wouldn't dare lure her. Well, perhaps to the Idiots Bar for a quick drink every once in a while but my intentions are strictly honorable :)

Doubt it. At least not for now we won't. When the dust settles we will hear bits n pieces Max and Bernie wants (allows) us to hear.

:D :D I think it would be too pretentious to call myself a tifosi. In the first place, I don't think I'd really like carrying those damn flagpoles and flags around with me (I don't even keep an airhorn in my pocket to blast everytime a red car goes by!). I only love Ferrari because I love racing and, with the exception of McLaren and Williams, they're the only ones on the grid who live ONLY to WIN.

The big manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, BMW, Renault) are only in it to get courtesy treatment for their big accounts (box seats and passes to the hospitality suites) and the others are there to try to find enough points to "trade themselves" up into a real team. I give RBR two or three more seasons before the big spender gets bored with his lack of podiums. And it's too expensive now for mavericks like Eddy J. (whom I could always cheer for).

I mean, face it you guys who hate the red cars: if they weren't there for you to beat, how would you know if you were any good?
:thankyou: for mentioning me as a Maranello Loyalist. Maybe, if I win the lottery, I'll give you a ride in my lovely red machine!

Hi Jim. I can't speak for anyone else but I don't actually hate Ferrari. I can remember a time when Ferrari were struggling and it seemed that they would never return to the top of the tree. What has put me off the team is the fact that they seem (from the outside) to regard themselves as above everyone else and the rules that apply to everyone else.
Blatantly having team orders when team orders were banned. Having their own test track so that even though their were times when teams were not allowed to test Ferrari could continue to do so and with no consequences. Winning a race in pit lane, which while it is apparently not against the rules, is in my humble opinion not in the spirit of fair competition.
Having said all that I would not like to see Ferrari out of the sport because in many ways Ferrari is the sport. The very name Ferrari conjures up the image of racing and riches and things we all want in our wildest dreams. And to finish up this piece of idiotic rambling I would like to point out that many countries have the philosophy of "the tall poppy syndrome". So when Ferrari or Williams or McLaren or even individual drivers like MS become too big for their boots we all enjoy bringing them down to earth with a thud!!! Cheers and keep enjoying the racing. :D
