Rice still has the fastest lap of the race at the moment...........Castroneves, Franchitti and Hornish pit; Dixon still out

Dixon's engineer is telling him to "push, push, push!!!"

Kanaan turns a wicked-fast lap; now at 1:08.380[28] :shock: :shock:

Patrick now up to 7th; rather than fight Wheldon on-track, her pitcrew got her out in front of Wheldon during the first round of stops!

Dixon finally makes his stop; gets out well ahead of Castroneves

Correction; Kanaan took the lead when Dixon stopped, but he pitted very early so he will have to come in soon

And Kanaan pits from the lead; Dixon retakes the lead

Sharp pits from P11, exits pitlane P13

Kanaan and Dixon are the only ones to run fast laps in the 1:08 range(TK at a 68.303, Dixon at a 68.650)

With the first round of stops out of the way, top-5 are Dixon, Castroneves, Franchitti, Hornish and Manning

Dixon has a near-4 second lead over Castroneves

Dixon over 4 seconds ahead of Castroneves; Kanaan still trying to pass Hunter-Reay, finally passes him at turn 4 entering the Esses

IMS Radio interviewing Rahal-Letterman Racing co-owner David Letterman, who usually only ventures to IndyCar races when they're at Indy for the 500, so it is great to see him at the track

Castroneves and Franchitti reset their personal fast laps; both in the 1:08 range now

Top-5 at the moment, Dixon, Castroneves, Franchitti, Manning and Hornish

Race control reporting a yellow on lap 45; caution's out, caution's out..........crash in turn 1 exiting the pitstraight, looks like Hornish spun it going around and nailed the tirewalls

He's not in the kitty litter, so if the Delphi Safety Team can get him re-started could he make it around and pit for possible repairs?

Field is bunched up behind the safety car; second round of stops ahead.........IMS Radio saying that there could be a shortened race due to the fact that the race was delayed 15-20 minutes

Race control reporting possible spray coming from the #4 of Vitor Meira


Everyone dived into pitlane except Kanaan and Hornish; Castroneves won the race off pitroad, so he will take the lead

Kanaan and Sharp are being shown P1 and P2, but have yet to pit, so Castroneves in theory is the leader of the race

And we're back to green!!!

Patrick passes Manning for 6th; top-5 at the moment are Kanaan, Sharp, Castroneves, Dixon and Franchitti
