Northampton, Tuesday. Indian rookie Narain Karthikeyan's Jordan/Midland (delete as applicable) drive is apparently under threat after a misunderstanding over sponsorship. Part of Narain's sponsor portfolio includes Tata, the Indian automotive and metals conglomerate, but the teams Russian bosses thought he was bringing Tatu, the mock-lesbo-schoolgirl singing duo. Said a team spokesman 'Look, we plainly don't need the money sponsors bring, but the appeal of having the Tatu birds coming along to races was too good to miss, instead we now have a load of truck salesmen from Delhi - its just not on'

Qualifying should be one time lap by each driver, fuel level at driver/teams choice. They can refuel after qualifying, they can change tires, they can change engines.
First race run from last in previous seasons WDC, any new drivers to start before last finisher of previous season, according to alphabetical order of last name.
Next race run according to classification of previous race, with last place finishers starting.

Well Julian,I have taken offence cos its about NK!!!! An Indian driver who is getting into a stronghold of drivers from a non-Asian country, especially from a country like India
If this comment had come at the start of the season, i would have taken it a bit lightly. But at this moment, after 4 races NK doesnt deserve this!!!!
He's done the best one could do in a Jordan/Minardi as a rookie. No questions about it!!!!!!
99.9% of the drivers who have landed in a Minardi or a Jordan have been paid drivers or well, in the past have been rich kids/inherited a fortune to start their own team.
Being funny and being nasty are 2 different things which one must adhere too while posting such comments.

Qual should be all cars on track, leaving at 30 sec intervals, fueled to the gills by the stewards, tyres of team choice, in the order that they started the last race (lesser teams get the benefit of cleaner, grippier track). Its about the sport., the fans, the tv coverage. If it gets boring, no TV, no fans. $) some 40% percent of F1 fans do NOT live in Eroupe (NIELSSON poll. SMH
June?)2004.

A public sincere apology if required. But first, please look at the dates, times etc., I believe midland was mentioned. Kap, you should know from PMs that I take great care in certain areas not to offend. Go back over the posts, if you still feel offended, and I cannot explain, I will apologize publicly and privately. Hint, I do believe that no car had turned a wheel in the 2005 season when these comments where made. Today was the first time I had seen them, and I found them extremely funny. And I am sure that Kumah would have, and it was ... ahf..k it if I hav offended you...sorry, very sorry..But do go and look at the the times.. ie"an old"" ah...f..k it is no:lol:

This was exactly the sort of 'frothing at the mouth' type email I received from India (all with lots of !!!!)

- perhaps there is a shortage of humour on the sub continent. All it will do is inspire me to have a bit more fun at Narain's expense. Anyway, some important points for you. One, that story was written at the beginning of the season so you can take it lightly after all, though why you would laugh at it then but not now is a bit confusing. Two, NK has done nothing of note, He qualifies exactly where just about anybody would in that car, he then tools around, keeping out of other peoples way and finishes pretty much where he started. Three, Are you seriously telling me he is in F1 for any reason other than the money he brings ? Even his most diehard fan surely can't be that misguided. Can you enlighten me with what he has done in other formulae to warrant being in F1. This is a rebuilding year for Jordan/Midland and I absolutely guarantee you that Monteiro and NK will not be with the team next year - next stop..Minardi. Four. 99.9% of Jordan drivers have been pay drivers ?? So that includes the likes of Hill, Irvine, Barrichello, Schumacher R, Frentzen, Alesi, Brundle, Fisichella, Trulli to name just a few 'career' drivers. Some of those may have had to contribute sponsorwise but that happens everywhere.
As for somebody getting so upset on a purely 'he's from my country' angle then all I can say is I'm glad I'm not a Canadian....
'Tata' for now....

Humour. I have written spoof articles about just about every driver on the grid, including Jenson Button. Like me, he's a Brit so I can't quite see how I can be racist. This article has had thousands of hits, has been seen on a dozen forums and has had only one complaint, and thats from you. Can you please point me to the racist line in that article - or is it that I am not allowed to poke fun at Indians ? I hugely object to the racist comment and demand an apology. My best mate is an Indian and he thought it was hilarious..
Ligthen up....

Just had a thought - go to my site and look in the archive section and look for a story entitled 'Karthikeyan - not the fastest Indian'. This was written with input from my aforementioned Indian friend, whom I now guess is a racist...?

Glad you liked it, you certainly weren't the only one who had a giggle.
I'll say no more to the offended member of this forum as there seems to be little point. I shall however continue to have fun at the expense of all F1 drivers, regardless of political correctness !
