Three minutes remaining..........and race control has displayed the double-yellows for a full-course caution involving the #25 of Marty Roth, who has spun and stalled it in the turn 7 area

.....there's going to be a mad dash for the top-6 in the session; everyone's lighting up the tires for a last-minute set of flyers................

RHR 8th
PT 7th



.....and the session's over; no one managed to get in a last-lap flyer as that full-course caution came at the worst absolute moment

Interesting note......looking towards the grandstands, I'm really impressed by the large numbers of fans watching in the stands; Canada has had a long tradition of supporting NA open-wheel racing, from Formula 1 through CART/ChampCar and IndyCar, so its' great to see all the fans here this weekend.......... :D :D :) 8)

Unlike sessions 1A and 1B, which ran 20 minutes each, session 2 will run 15 minutes and the Firestone Shootout after this session will run 10 minutes.......

Briscoe setting the early pace; Wheldon and Dixon 2nd and 3rd at the moment

Surprise! Moraes P1 at the moment.....a Dale Coyne car is P1 at the moment..... :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

It didn't last long; Power now P1 and Moraes got shuffled down a bit to P4

Local yellow in the turn 7 area; Wilson locked it up and smacked the wall, ending his qualifying session.......local yellow has been pulled; track is full-green

TK's session is over; they've hauled his car behind the wall; reports are that when he spun in the first session, he damaged the H-17R Honda Indy V8 engine in his racecar.......the engine will be replaced and he will likely start P27, shotgun on the field

....and Moraes has backed it into the tirewalls, damaging the backend of the car.....chances are there will be a full-course caution, which could end the session early; race control has thrown the double-yellows(Moraes will lose his fastest lap)

....and the track is back to green; another mad-dash for the Firestone Shootout!
