You picked Alonso for pole.
With me so far?....good.
I am prepared to bet 3 g&ts that he does not get pole.
Still with me?....good.

Jim, both Alonso The Cute and Raikkonen have 6 wins each (Kimi won Spa and The Cute didn't win Silverstone)

Even though, I am sure you noticed who is on pole for Brazil! I wonder what was your reaction when Kimi stuffed up his lap (I assume you guys have the luxury to watch qualifying unlike us who just rely on the textual stuff  )

It could get worse!! Raikkonen making his own mistakes

Still want to talk about "painful tasks of explaining" :alright:[/quote]

Alas, You're completely correct (I thought there was something fishy about my "count"; in the back of my head I was thinking "didn't they each have 6?")

Anyway, yes, I did see Kimi stuff the qual run. I think maybe he's spending too much time in the arms of hotties and not enough time preparing for the race. I hope he's not one of the talented ones who defeats himself in the long run.

Alonso was, on the other hand, completely cool; he obviously took very good care of his tyres and stayed away from Kimi (no point in tangling with him!), although the local t.v. people seemed more mesmerised by Rubens' little race.

He, like Michael, seems blessed with uncanny luck and he is smart enough, like Michael, to pay attention to the points as well as the car. He has, in a word, everything a champion needs. The performance of his teammate shows, better than anything else, just how good Fernando is. Again the comparison to Michael seems telling.

Whatever the rest do or don't do, Fernando is going to be very good for F1. He certainly is more telegenic and personable than Kimi.

If Kimi can get re-focussed, he can still have more wins; I don't know though; the fight may be gone. If Juan Pablo finishes out the year ahead of him, I should think that'll be the beginning of a long, sad, slide.

All Kudos to Renault and Flavio and Fernando; I can't wait, now, for the V-8's next year and I hope the title chase is a three way one!

I am designated as "worker", the others are "supervisors" (I'd better be careful otherwise I'll get in trouble)
Mistakes, well i'd like to say no but really who doesn't.
The errors are mostly in the layout or presentation, etc.... The last time we found a bug in the scoring system was 3 seasons ago I beleive. Since then we didn't have any scoring errors.
At the end of each season we rerun the scoring for each round and verify. We also randomly pick a sample and score manually and verify.

Now only if they could make my life easier by giving me a fully automated scoring system. Perhaps next season I am told

We had another tie for the round of Brazil. RIC99 and NZLChewy won the round with 51 points each. RIC99 was the earlier of the two to submit their picks and wins the NewsOnF1 Compact Smart Digital Clock with Alarm.

Overall indie3128 takes the lead after a very good score this round. jack1983 is second ahead of Raupo.
With 2 rounds remaining and a 10 point gap, can inidie3128 maintain the lead or will another player manage a great pick and close the gap ?

The Brazilian Top 100 is available here
