So a somewhat unexpect result however we don't know the fuel loads!
Top 8 - Button, M Schumacher, Alonso, Fisichella, Montoya, Sato, Raikkonen and Villeneuve

Button Takes Pole?
So maybe the Honda engineers have figured out how to eliminate the fuel tank altogether? Button on the Pole!? I think this is a plot against my chances to get more than 15 points in Pole 'N 8. Where is Bernie E. when we need him? looks like the start is going to be REALLY exciting tomorrow! And maybe the Red Cars will get back on the podium after all Jim Watt

Button and Michael Schumacher must be light compared with the other usual suspects. Evenso I am obviously pleased with the qualifying as it turned out, and look forward to seeing Michael Streak away from the field those 11 - 14 laps that his first stint will be.
So with the poor track surface, is it a 2 stopper or a 3 stopper tomorrow?? Could the race be called early, due to the poor track surface?? Which strategy will then be the correct one??

The BAR's and Michael did show some glimpse of speed in practice but I suspect they are light compared to Renault and McLaren.
Surprising also to see Trulli only just ahead of Ralf Schumacher who was 3rd out and Heidfeld just ahead of Webber who was 2nd out. Unless they are on completely different strategies.
Villeneuve seems strong here (but he could be light too!) while Barrichello again gets a problem when it matters the most.
Should be an interesting race.
And there could even be rain

Webber will be on a 2 stopper, the Williams seems to look after its tyres pretty well lately.
The Mountain is a savage Mistress.
