OMG

The Cute not in the top 3
I just hate this qualifying
We now know who is on pole for the race but we don't know who is really fast and who will pit in few laps from the start.
The Williams can't be a second faster, even Raikkonen must be light
I guess we'll have an interesting start tomorrow.

Thank you, ED.
The Williams cars seem to have done the job reasonably well
They sure came a long way after practice - should be a great race. If a Williams driver wins this year, who will do it first?

How would Webber react if it was Heidfeld?
I don't know, Byron. Do you?
He'll give him a hug
But neither will win tomorrow. They dont' start well, I can't understand why they'd go out on low fuel but with only one session they get the publicity
It is good to see Webber pushed, he needs someone to push him rather than keep thinking he is the faster of the two

Translation - the Bridgestones take a while to get up to temperature. Ferrari wanted Bridgestone exclusivity and now they pay the price.

I just want a low-fuel Q!!!
what you say is truth and I'm happy about that, but here/now i'm talking about a heavy Q which does not show the real speed of the cars/drivers!!!

Pole setter Nick Heidfeld said
It is fantastic to get my first pole position in Formula One after so many years, and it is even more to have achieved it here at my home Grand Prix in front of my supporters. There is not much more one could ask for. I didn't do too much running yesterday and I was a bit concerned this would affect my performance today, but obviously we made the right tyre choice. This good result today shows Monaco was not a one-off and we are obviously working in the right direction. I am very much looking forward to the race.

In my opinion qualifying should be about drivers going for gold. This can only happen with low fuel Q.

Well done to Heidfeld for his first pole however we'll know if he really was fast or just light later tonight.
I think both Williams are light. Kimi is heavier but maybe not as heavy as the Renaults and the Ferraris
Looks like Kimi's race, Montoya and Fernando will be strong too. Michael if he is very heavy and his tyres don't melt in the heat!

G., THere is little doubt the Williams are light.

I dont't think Kimi is much Heavier

Don't write the Williams cars off. This is both Nick, and BMW's home track.
Webber did pretty well here in f3000, and it's his favourite type of track
Kimi does look good tho

Well, you know, you're exactly wrong in a way. This does indeed show the exact speed of the cars as they will start the race. I think the present qualifying format is excellent - I like the need for a driver to get it right on that 1 lap and I like the strategy of how much fuel the teams choose to put in for qual. It's always interesting to see who does indeed pit first and who's on what strategy.
What's a better format than the present one?
