Villeneuve quick in the first sector and the second and takes provisional pole!

A time of 2:46.259 on aggregate (1:25.260 in Q2)

His time this session was slower than Fisichella but he had enough margin

Sato up on Barrichello at S1 and S2 by 0.2 and takes provisional pole with a 2:44.658 (1:23.807) A very quick 3rd sector

Heidfeld off Sato's time at S2 and settles for second fastest at this stage with a 2:45.196 (1:24.389 in Q2)

Wurz next then Massa

Wurz quicker than Sato in S1 and S2 by 0.1 seconds but can't maintain the advantage in S3 and settles for second. A 2:44.689 on aggregate (1:24.057)

Massa on his flyer! then Trulli

Massa quicker in S1 and S2 but loses ground in the 3rd and settles for 3rd fastest with a 2:44.930 (1:24.337)

Sato has now moved ahead 3 places!

Button makes his way onto the track.

Air temperature is now 17 degrees. Track temperature at 18 degrees.

Button slightly quicker in S1

3 tenths at S2 and moves to the top of the timesheets with a 2:44.105 on aggreagate (1:23.641)

Webber off Button at S1 and S2 and goes second with a time of 2:44.511 just 0.007 ahead of Trulli! (1:24.069 in Q2)

We don't know the fuel loads!

Michael off Button in S1 and S2. He goes wide and loses a lot of time in S3. He ends up in 12th!!
