Well done to Red Bull on their first ever 1-2 finish. Superb drive by Vettel who didn't seem to make any mistakes today. Webber did well finishing second and he pushed hard to get away from Button.
The Brawn's are still strong and Button was quick but couldn't match the Red Bulls. Barrichello had a slow period and was lucky to finish in 4th.
Kovalainen kept his cool and finished in 5th while Hamilton entertained us with his moves and his errors, 6th was a good result.
Glock recovered nicely after starting from the pitlane and an impressive result from Buemi the rookie.

Disspointed with their results must be Alonso who started second and finished 9th, his early stop behind the safety car didn't seem to work but his spin later in the race lost him a certain points position.

The Ferraris and BMW Saubers struggled and it will be interesting to see how they will fight back.

Your thoughts and the driver of the day ?

I put Webbo ahead of Vettel, ONLY because he is still only about 65% fit. He will be in pain tomorrow

Webber for me. As JM mentioned Mark not 100% recovered yet and for me for providing some interest in the race. Loved the scraps between Mark and Jenson.
Thought we were going to be watching nothing but rain for a while.

It was another quite entertaining GP, great season so far.

In wet conditions REDBULL proved supreme even though the SC played a bit in their hands. Well done SEBASTIAN(DOTD) and MARK.

JENSON could win the WDC this way if BRAWN comes up to pace again, he kept his cool and made no significant errors. He did not try to hold MARK against all odds but will hope to be competitive in a dry Bahrain GP.
BRAWN were still going well and could control everyone bar the winners. If MICHAEL was sitting in JENSONs car people on here would claim they apply team orders...;-)

MCLAREN took the maximum points available with the current package which might be slightly superior to FERRARI, even if FELIPE was going well until his car stopped. HEIKKI and LEWIS drove well with the champion taking more risks and finally losing out to his slower teammate.

TOYOTA are a bit hard to assess but probably would have been stronger in standard conditions. TIMO couldnt have done much better than finishing 7th from starting 20th.

TORO ROSSO looked strong in race trim, unsurprisingly, with swiss SEB proving more controlled and effective than french SEB. Both were quick.

The FORCE INDIA looked good in ADRIANs hands, another pity after Monaco, this time possibly a driver error.

RENAULT and WILLIAMS were the real disappointments of the day as they seemed to have no chance despite the good starting positions of FERNANDO and NICO.

As for BMW, they were so unlucky that I couldnt make up my mind where they should have finished...

Bring on Bahrain, maybe we can see a FERRARI comeback there?

I have to congratulate Vettel on an excellent drive. Sure the Red Bull looks very good in the wet but he didn't make any mistakes and that is what impressed me. I wouldn't call him rain master yet as he crashed out in Malaysia.
Webber was impressive too and his fight with Button was exciting to watch. I do hope that he has some more in him as he fully recovers and maybe this year's Red Bull could be a championship winner and he needs to have a real chance. He has to recover ground quick as Vettel has a huge momentum now.

I think Alonso was unlucky with the safety car call, I think the channel 10 commentators were smoking something when they said he went in at the perfect time. He made many overtaking moves and would have finished in the points but he spun and that was dissapointing. Alonso used to beat everyone in the wet so am not sure if it is him or the car that is so difficult to drive. I stopped looking at Piquet for comparison, sorry but this guy needs to be replaced. I can't understand what is Briatore doing holding him. He can't qualify, he can't race in the wet, really I am sure someone out there deserves a chance and I want to see someone pushing Alonso (not that he needs pushing but still)

Hamilton's coolness in the wet was shattered as he made so many mistakes, cleary the lie-gate is getting to him. Funny how Kovalainen who is usually slower finished in front of him with really fighting with Hamilton!!

I felt sorry for Massa, I think he had a chance. To be honest I don't like Raikkonen's comments about giving up, why say that ? There are so many races left and the cars are so close. He shouldn't say that. Maybe he has given up on his career.

The BMW's were shocking, that was very strange

And what is with Kubica and Trulli!!! Didn't Trulli cause Kubica's accident in Canada ??? At least this time it no one was hurt and Kubica even continued racing. Amazing!!

Looks like the Chinese don't know there is a country called Austria !!!
Did anyone notice they played the British anthem yet Red Bull isn't British
Imagine a Toyota winning and playing the German anthem ... Oh no :D :D
I just hope someone in Shanghai doesn't get hanged because of that :( :(

Bahrain, now that would have to be a dry race ..... please!!
