Its deadly calm at the moment. No birds about, nor ants. None of the local dogs are barking....very unusual. The white cockatoos have disappeared, Beaky, the magpie with a busted beak, has taken refuge on the verandah, where he sits glaring at me with a baleful eye, as tho it's all my fault.

They've had their share of bad weather lately. Hopefully it'll be a tad milder this time around.jacfan wrote:Yeah I heard you were in for more wild weather over the next couple of days. Yikes... take care.Julian Mayo wrote:Better pass me my life vest, Mae West, flippers, snorkel, wetsuit, and scuba gear too...the latest warning has the swell at 7 metres.....hmmm that should give a wave height of 12-15 metres.........uh oh......the take off point to catch a wave should be around my letter box. Winds averaging 50 knots.....onshore........![]()
Think I might go and have a little lie down, while the bed is still dry.

Sounds weird. Reminds me of the tornadoes I had seen in the distance. Had done my best to keep them in the distance. Was lucky that that was in Arizona mind you. I had someplace to run... If it's your home then you do not have much of a choice.jacfan wrote:Julian Mayo wrote: I can see the centre of the local trough, about 10kms out to sea....it's just a'sittin...........4.30 pm and it's nearly dark........they are now describing it as a "'weather bomb"..............is a weather bomb.
