Barkeep...Keep 'em coming.
I feel some spirit and coke coming on. Maybe we will start with a JD. They need all the help they can get with the way Team Perkins is going this year.
Jim Beam wouldn't be feeling very potent either.
Make mine a WT or three

Because the test was going to be paid for out of his own pocket he has gone and told me I have options now....
A) He will pay for the once off test at Silverstone
B) He will give me enough funds to race a full Formula vee season here in S.A...
or C) He will give me funds to race in the newly launched championship here racing a Reynard champ car atlantic chassis for a year...
I hate decisions....
For the price of the Silverstone test I can buy a Formula Vee....
Dont know what to do....
as CM says, go for maximum media exposure. As long as you are going to be at or near the pointy end. And can keep it out of the boondocks. Team owners want quick drivers, to repay the sponsors, and low repair bills.

A) or C). A fairly steep learning curve understanding car setup compared to the karts of this season. A one off versus a season...The one off in front of the best media coverage...The season to negate one bad outing...

Exactly....
Each one has its pros and cons....Option C means I will be driving the second fastest race car in the country(only the V8 supercars are quicker)...but because its a brand new championship I dont know if exposure is that great.....whereas going to silverstone means I am getting my name out on the European stage, but I have the one day to prove myself and if something goes wrong I am down the creek without a paddle.......
Thinking about the last option, because he drivers are relativley unknown because its so new...so if I can go out and whip the pants off them then I am sure it can only help me....

Each choice carries with it its' own set of risks/rewards, T-K......for instance, let's say that you choose option A and have a full-up, successful Silverstone test.....chances are you'll get your name in the European press and motorsports community, which can then lead to a possible FF ride(and chance at running in the FF Festival at the end of that year....) and so on.....on the other hand, a not-so-successfull one-off could knock ya' out of the running for a chance at a ride.....
Then again, choosing B or C carries their own risks and rewards.......unlike the one-off at Silverstone, you'd have an entire season to impress the powers-that-be and if you, through hard work and determination, were to win either series' championship, that could get you a foot in the door of any series further up the ladder , not just in S.A. but outside the country, too.......many a top NA open-wheel champion has gotten their start outside the U.S.(just look at F1-bound Bourdais; he worked his up the European open-wheel ladder, wins the F3000 title back in '02, gets ignored by the F1 powers-that-be, comes over to ChampCar and what does he do? He wins four straight championships from 2004-2007.....

)
Regardless of whatever choice you make, just keep plugging away at it, T-K, and you'll make it to the top of the motorsports ladder......who knows, we might even see you on the Borg-Warner Trophy at the Brickyard.....

........)

Given my personal attitude to risk taking, I would plum for option C, and do a Casey Stoner.ie..........Be at the pointy end no matter what, because that is where the cameras are looking, and the team owners. If you consistanly show outright speed, they will figure they can teach you to drive slower, and keep it together. They can't teach a slow driver to be much quicker

Beauty, I will have a very large wt, thanks. Just spent the weekend jumping out of helicopters (after they broke my fingers, to loosen my grip), and clambering up n down bloody mountains. A tad thirsty, to say the least
