Methinks the Organizers of the Turkish GP are in BIG trouble.
They have been summonsed to appear before the FIA on sept 19.
Looking at the laws and statutes these guys have broken Turkey will be lucky if they can hold a gymkhana in a supermarket car-park for the next few years. If the FIA throws the book at them for what the organisers have admitted was a deliberate act, (of stupidity ?) not only will the Turkish GP disappear in '07, the fiscal punishments could easily pay for a replacement GP in another country, and still leave Bernie with a nice little earner.
Whispers are that Greece could stage a replacement GP.

You ain't just whistling 'Dixie', Julian, on that; by most accounts, the FIA is very, very ticked off by what they did. Unless I'm mistaken, one of the trophy presenters at the Turkish GP was a Mr. Memhet Ali Tatal, who was introduced as the "President of the Turkish Cypriot state", a state recognized by only Turkey. According to the news item on the offical formula1 site(here is the news link, www.formula1.com/news/4873.html )the FIA World Motor Sport Council will meet on Sept. 19 to hear their explanation but I don't think it was just stupid; what did they sounds like a deliberate act, and if it costs them the GP, so be it. And its' not whispers as to whether Greece would get the GP instead of Turkey; both grandprix.com and autoracing1.com have mentioned that Greece could indeed get to host a GP race if Turkey loses the event over what happened.

The "stupidity" was in reference to what this act of theirs would dot to motor sport, in Turkey, and the world wide ramifications for Motor Sport,and F1, fans of the Turkish track. I have no doubt it was a deliberate act.

So taking you out, half of the people voted are extreme idiots and the other half agree with you. (That is assuming you voted for Massa )

Turkey GP race track was fabulous this year too

Congratulations for Massa for his 1st GP win,& for once i was praying that he wins this one and in the bargain Michael not overtaking Alonso otherwise every1 here know wht would have happened...Even if Massa has agreed to let Michael go for his chance at championship...no1 deserved to win this race other than Massa..Brilliant.

Secondly,I would say,though Alonso was lucky during the SC period for getting the jump on Michael,it was Michael's mistake on turn 8 lap 28 tht cost him the race.

Alonso did a superb job in keep Michael behind for 15 laps..hats of to him.Controling the pace in slow corners & leaving no margin for Michael to attack.What was impressive about Alonso for me was,the way he moved on track,keeping the rules in mind of moving only once,he would wait for Michael's attack & then move to nullify that..Brilliant!!

I would vote for both Massa & Alonso..but cant..so did for Massa,for his first pole, first win & so first drive of the day also

Michael,i think has realised that he's old & nearing his carrer end,which was evident of him not taking many risk a youngster would have taken in the last 15 laps.But i dont agree tht he's lost speed ,which he showed in the 3-4 laps before his last pitstop to close the gap to Alonso from 8.5 to 3 secs.I think the championship is now over for him.

I'm definitely suprised with Button finishing 4th

Kimi is the most expensive driver on the grid,the damage bills over the past years would have been enough to have Michael,Alonso,Kimi as drivers(rotating) with Ralf,Webber,Button as test drivers (Pls dont pounce on me...i'm just trying to calculate the bill & wages of drivers)

Yes JayVee...i think after the race the announcement will surely comes...N 99.9% Michael is retiring...got this info from my friend in the paddock.

But never know when the heart changes....

But Kimi is on board for sure...imagine the Ferrari bills from next year on..
