And so you should. I might even send you info on a certain axe-hiding offspring. The thought of world wide exposure may achieve that which I cannot

what happened to you Julian? racist, unfunny, shitty toilet journalism??? that's humor, ad a good one!! it's obvios he has nothing against India... hey Rob, I saw your site(btw, it was too slow!! =/ ), very funny i liked it a lot (the MP4-20A history is GREAT!!!..

) Nice to see you posting in this forum!!
about NK, he could bring a lot of money to the team and even it would be a reason for Midland to give him a shot, but it's clear that he a lot faster then his teammate, and in F1 that is the best way to measure driver's talent... going at RedBull pace, being near DC at imola was something of note!!!

But then, due to work, nobody would watch the Friday session. Lets just have a one hour session on Saturday, all out at the same time, limit it to 25 laps per driver, sticky tyres, refuel after. Proper qualy, as it always was before they buggered it up...

you're right... so it could be: the same as now but not Sat-Sun but Sat - Sat, like last year... =/
in fact it'd be cool too to see the "all-out" again... as you (and others) suggest...
the current is too bad!! final Q on Sunday is just nonsense!

On the Karthikeyan issue,
I must admit that I was the first to think, oh no not another Yoong but after 4 races he's proved himself and would probably be voted rookie of the year. Only threat would be Liuzzi.
Clearly he is doing a much better job that many thought he would so saying that he's done nothing of note isn't right.
On the credentials bit, the same can be said of Raikkonen when he moved into F1
As for this kind of humour, it is just like the tabloid press, best to ignore it.

On the qualifying issue,
I am surprised that many don't mind the single lap qualifying. I think it is flawed.
Pure qualifying has to be based on the old 12 lap format. I am sure they can put certain rules in place to make the cars go out earlier and give exposure to the slower teams.
Low fuel is a must too.

I like the V8 supercars way with a hot lap after standard qualifying. Might not be enough cars on the grid though.

Rob if you think making fun of people is funny, you'll find others who don't and I agree with Graham and julian on this (although wouldn't call it racist but certainly trash yes!)
Two things you've said in your post to Kapel:
grandprixdiary wrote:Two, NK has done nothing of note, He qualifies exactly where just about anybody would in that car, he then tools around, keeping out of other peoples way and finishes pretty much where he started.
Well if you haven't noticed he has outqualified Monteiro by a massive margin. And if you are talking about the grid position then you are clearly trying to twist the facts. The lap time counts when looking at the ability or lack of in a driver.
As for finishing were he started, well a number of high profile drivers drove for Minardi and Jordan and they have all finished pretty much were they started when you take into account all the cars that retired.
grandprixdiary wrote:This is a rebuilding year for Jordan/Midland and I absolutely guarantee you that Monteiro and NK will not be with the team next year - next stop..Minardi
What arrogance!! Unless you a part of the decision making process at Midland (which I doubt) how could you guarantee such a claim. Then how can you guarantee that Kerthikeyan won't move to Sauber or Red Bull or even a better team ? Ralf and Barrichello did!!
Sorry the only thing you can guarantee is the

look on your face when Karthikeyan re-signs for Jordan or moves forward to a better team.

They have a 20min qual followed by a top ten shootout.
The shootout is the top ten qualifiers get one lap to get a better or worse position. It only effects the top ten places.
Might have to change a few things like maybe a top six shootout. There are usually about thirty cars on the grid for a V8 race.
There is a similar method being used with the German touring cars I think. Though don't quote me on that.

I like this idea of a shootout but it'll be knocked back by the likes of Minardi and Jordan as their cars won't get to appear in the shootout.

sounds good but "slow" teams won't acept the 'top-six shootout'... =/
...
thirty cars Q'ing in 20min, that must be tight!
-----
For F1 would be good two sessions of 20 mins all-free with summed
times of the 2 sessions deciding final Q positions. what do you think people?

There does seem to be an awful lot of soap boxes around here.
