Briscoe passes Patrick for 5th; it looks as though lap traffic caught Patrick on the low side and Briscoe used the #2 of A.J. Foyt IV as a pick to make the pass; Patrick had to swerve to the inside to avoid Quattro...... :x

Foyt's done for the day; apparently he had whitewalled the car a few laps earlier and done some suspension damage to the right rear, which slowed him down enough for race control to order him to pitlane

Passing 116 laps.....top-5 still unchanged(Dixon, Castroneves, Kanaan, Wheldon and Briscoe)

....and Kanaan falls a little further back as Wheldon gets by him

Dixon looks to be on cruise control at the moment as he continues to expand his lead over 2nd to 6.27 seconds after 138 laps; race control reporting the winds have begun to pick up some around the track

Next round of stops beginning as a couple of cars peel off onto pitlane for fuel and tires........

And the caution's back out for a crash on the frontstretch; race control reporting the #77 of Roger Yasukawa is stopped with some damage along the inside frontstretch wall

Now we begin to enter the land of fuel strategy as teams will try to get in as much fuel as possible, hoping not to have to pit right at the end of the race; back in 2005, several drivers, most notably then-Panther Racing driver Tomas Scheckter, ran dry on the last lap of the race..........

Everyone making their stops; watching the order as they leave pitlane........Dixon beats everyone out and holds onto the lead; behind him in P2-P5 are Ryan Briscoe, Tony Kanaan, Dan Wheldon and Helio Castroneves

With the continued caution, a couple of drivers, most notably Castroneves, Patrick and Carpenter, dive back into pitlane to top off.......can they make it the remaining 52 laps?

155 laps in the books; top-5 at the moment
Dixon, Kanaan, Briscoe, Wheldon and Carpenter; Castroneves and Patrick are in conservation mode it seems as they have dropped back to 6th and 7th respectively while Carpenter is on the leaders' draft and isn't conserving ethanol

Hunter-Reay passes Patrick for 7th; Dixon continues to lead, 1.3 seconds over Kanaan
