The Formula One Commission approved the new 'modified' points system so it beomes:

25 - 18 - 15 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1

The commission also approved forcing the top 10 drivers to start the race on the same set of tyres that they achieved their grid position times on.

The number of dry sets of tyres allowed has been dropped from 14 to 11 with 3 sets to be used on Friday.

Sounds like the points system will change again, plus the tyres for the top ten qualifiers will need to be used to start the race.

Rumours have started about MS's neck as his personal doctor was spotted yesterday...
Although testing times can be very misleading, I suspect that the Ferrari and the (BMW) Sauber are quick out of the box as both gave up on the 2009 car very early. If those two team plus McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull are all quick, then it will be a very close and exciting season.

I hope Schumacher's comeback doesn't get affected by his neck injury.

The 2nd day of testing is over. The session will not be extended as a result of the red flag.

The order is:

Will be an interesting day.

i.e. how will Alonso and Button do compared to thier team mates.

In the end though a pinch of salt is needed as we don't know the fuel loads.

However I hope Massa and Lewis are the fasterteam members :)

Virgin have launched thier Virtual car, but no pictures yet :-(

Alonso is looking quick, but I guess'd he'd want to make sure he was faster than Massa.

Button is still warming up I guess.

Sauber and Williams had a coming together where Sauber came of worse.

Schumi still fast but not the fastest.

Must admit I would not be doing 'vapour' runs just to get quick times on the board. So it will be interesting to see them in Bahrain, plus I understand most will have Aero package upgrades.

Button - McLaren: 1:13.783
