I think this round is most confusing but if we keep changing the picks we just get more and more

Yep, its a tough one. The Renault reliability worries me, particularly Alonso's engine.

I agree with u guys.Its really tough to pick for this round.Would have to gamble assuming this being the opening round of the season.

Could be renaults, Mclarens and Barrichello (Schuey won't count, back there in 16th,17th place )

JV, I wouldnt mind if all the top teams engine go off and v see the 2 Jordans & 2 Minardis fight for podium places Toyota will comes 5-6.

N in the end Narain should win

I'm sure one of the renaults have a possibilty failing,question is whose.Mostly Alonso.

Mclarens i doubt will fail and certainly not Rubinho

this track is all about HP and tires...you cannot finesse this track...too tight, no undulations...vert tacky due to the climate...

your going to need a lot of ponies to reve through the plethera of apexes on this circuit...

Goodness Gracious, I though MY picks were a little irrational, but Webbo! On the Pole! Do you know something new? Like the FIA is going to require Michael, Kimi, Rubens, JPM, etc, etc. all to qualify with their brake pedals engaged all the way round?

BMW has apparently, with Teutonic rationality, de-tuned in the interest of finishing 2 races. The problem is that the de-tuned engine is attached to an ordinary chassis being driven by good, but not great, drivers. I love Frank Williams and the Williams team, but I'm afraid their days of being even decent contenders are over. The joke, this year is on both Webbo and poor little Jenson. Too bad he didn't get his wish, though, and make it back to Frank. That way, he'd have spent this year looking at the back wings of BAR and Red Bull! As is, he'll spend it staring at the Mac's Renaults, Ferraris and, if there's any real justice in F1, the back wing of DC's Red Bull.

So never mind race fans; you want my picks for Maylasia:

Pole: Schumacher, Ferrari
1. Schumacher, Ferrari
2. Raikonnen, MacLaren/Merc
3. Montoya, MacLaren/Merc
4. Barrichello, Ferrari
5. Fisichella, Renault
6. Alonso, Renault
7. Coulthard, Red Bull/Cosworth
8. Klien, Red Bull/Cosworth


As you can see, for me it's about two things: (1) drivers and (2) power; all this frou frou about aerodynamics and chassis is about as interesting as arguing the paint schemes. Except for the Mac's funny little wings you can hardly tell them apart at fifty paces. Sauber, for God's sake, is running Ferrari power in clones of Ferrari cars. So, you ask, what's their problem? And I just grin. Not much point spending all that money Peter if you're going to hire tired drivers. F1 is sport and the drivers are athletes. Notice how slim JPM is these days? That's because, in addition to being brave, he's smart. The question is: is he smarter than Kimi? Time will tell and this is the year.

looking forward to a really good race; lot's of over-taking; thrills and chills mostly regarding the Ice Man and JPM: will they take each other out? And if so, who will they take with them? The Renaults will be right behind them, so a really nasty set to can thow everyone's predictions including mine into a cocked hat. But, of course, the red ones will be down the road --and coasting-- by then.

Step by step, it isn't easy and winning with a round missing, you'll need to be Nosturdamus

Good luck, you may know something we don't but remember to come back and tell us your score next week especially when only Barrichello will finish (julian is right as Michael will get punted by Heidfeld)

julian beleives in Webber just like it seems how you beleive in Michael (julian deep inside fears Michael but I sense a change recently and the fear is a tiny bit less)

What do you know that tells you Michael will be in front and coasting ?

Last year in Melbourne Michael was way ahead, this year he was holding Kimi up. Last year Montoya stayed in touch with Michael in Malaysia, this year Michael will be holding JV up
