True. I am not all that versed in cricket but do like the game. Actually not sure that my knowledge is all that good in any sport ... or anything for that matter. Yep, I am well and truly an F1 idiot and to be honest probably a total idiot.[/quote]jacfan wrote: That's what happens when you don't know jack about the game![]()
Fear to think what will happen if Hamilton were to win one next year.jacfan wrote: I think you might enjoy it almost as much as watching JB win a GP
I love F1. My hubby was the one who was interested and then got me interested and now he has less interest than I do.gkaytaz wrote:A nice lady like you could only be too modest I'd say. My wife got used to F1 because of me. However there is one major difference: she has ESP. She was watching the Japanese GP, looking at Schumi go into the pits... She looked up and said: "why doesn't his engine ever explode?" I gave her the spiel about reliability and all. Lo and behold, Schumi blew the engine only one lap later.jacfan wrote: I love F1. Feeling philosophical today aren't we?Snowy wrote: The only fool is the person who thinks they are anything more than a fool.
Or words to that effect.

Scary! JayVee possesses (don't count the s's in that word) that power too.
I hear ya. There's more: Sometimes I go to a shop and buy something (usually some exotic food) that'd take an ordinary person forever to come up with. I go home happy only to find out that my wife has gotten the exact same stuff and about 10% cheaper too. That's bordering on miracle.Snowy wrote: That is a rare gift your lady hasI wouldn't call it ESP though. My better half is able to make shops supply her with rare objects at ridiculous prices. She has only to think about it for a while the week before she needs it and it appears in the shops at a knock down price! I have been trying to convince her to use her powers for good and not for evil but she persists in self retail gratification!
Now that does sound like some form of ESP!gkaytaz wrote:
