Didnt i mention on this thread sometime back that the constructors championship table would look a bit different at Magny Cours

I've also mentioned a turn around from Monza

I should have picked a number in that lottery

Championship tables updated at the start of this thread following the Round of France

Alonso extends his lead over Raikkone to 24 points (69 to 45). Michael Schumacher in third is 5 points behind Raikkonen. Jarno Trulli takes 4th from Rubens Barrichello.

In the Constructors' Championship Renault extend their lead over McLaren to 18 points (89 - 71). Ferrari are in 3rd 2 points behind McLaren while Toyota take 4th ahead of Williams.
BAR Honda remain in last place however they are now just 2 points behind Minardi.

Championship tables updated at the start of this thread following the Round of Britain

Fernando Alonso extends his lead in the championship over Kimi Raikkonen to 26 points. Michael Schumacher remains in 3rd 8 points behind Raikkonen.

Juan Pablo Montoya moves into 6th place with 26 points while Fisichella is now in 7th with 25 points.

Renault remain in the lead of the Constructors' Championship with 102 points with McLaren in second with 87 points and Ferrari in 3rd with 75 points.

BAR are now in 9th place with 9 points!

In the last 6 GPs starting with Montreal MICHAEL made 39 points followed by KIMI at 34 and FERNANDO at 28.

If this trend goes on the Championship will be closer but no change of order in the top 3....

The constructors should be won by MCLAREN at the current pace...

And from the last 4 races (since France):

Alonso scored 28 points
Raikkonen scored 24 points
Michael scored 21 points
Montoya scored 18 points

From this we can see that the gap will increase further

Point is, you can juggle stats to suit.

Even in Hungary Michael struggled with his tyres, he won't shape on the fast tracks that are coming up.

Alonso would have finished on the podium had he not lost his wing. The Renault maybe a bit slower than the McLaren but Alonso is capable of finishing on the podium every race.
For Renault as Constructors, the problem is Fisichella, he isn't shaping and if McLaren get reliable (which I doubt), they could lose the Constructors

Hi JAYVEE, I didnt want to jug the stats, just used 6 GP because thats the same number as the outstanding GPs.

But youre right, re.FERRARI the gap might increase. Im sure however that KIMI will close the gap down to some 12-15 points and MCLAREN to easily win the constructors.

If BRIDGESTONE start to perform a real strong finish from MICHAEL is on the cards...

Michael i believe would finish 4th or 5th every race,wit occasional podium when either one of the Mclaren or Renault is off.
Bridgestone took 13 races to develop a tyre which lasts about 20-25laps...do the math

With Schumacher getting back to the sharp end of things everything could get a bit messy... Mclaren might not be able to close the gap on Renault as easily with the Ferraris and Toyotas taking some big points too Plus i expect Renault to do well in the heat of Turkey, If the Mclarens run problem free for the race weekend I'll give everyone in this forum ?20

I reckon the WMC will go down to the last race, but the WDC to effectively be over after Monza.
Who wants to find out how many times both Mclarens have finished a race in the points? I dont think it is more than 3/4 times...

The Championship tables have been updated at the top of this thread.

With 5 races remaining, only Alonso, Raikkonen and Michael Schumcher can mathematically win the Drivers' Title. Alonso remains comfortably in the lead and now only needs to finish 4th in the remaining 5 races to win the title.

The Constructors' Title is much closer with Renualt leading McLaren by just 9 points.

But guys the McLaren's didn't run problem free! It wasn't a 1-2 finish

Perhaps Montoya needs to borrow that "Keep your distance" sign from Williams
