The thing is FA has now painted himself into a corner. Schumacher as the championship stands has nothing to gain from his usual 'oh well if you want an accident lets have one' manuvres. He needs to finish the races, he needs to score more points than Alonso. If it comes down to the last race and Alonso is ahead on points and Schuey is trying to overtake on the last lap in a much faster car will Alonso let him through and loose the WC?
