Aren't you glad that we're allowed to dream over here
I am simple. My man or my team are always expected to win.

Yankees
Rangers
Giants
Br?ndby
Liverpool
Verona
Real Madrid
Bulls
Notre Dame
Ferrari
Michael Schumacher

Before each new season I expect them to win every game, match. Then if reality bites, and they lose a game, match or race I expect that to be the only match, game or race they lose. And that they will win from then on in.

This is the fan speaking, since reason and sound argumentation is in short supply here, I just post what I feel, want and think. Anyone courtious to give a reasoned reply back, will be allowed into an argument with me, and can if convincing enough sway me on the rationale of my views, emotions and thoughts.

Anyone just posrting blanket statements, or having their mind set without any appearence of the ability to swayment. I will argue as little as possible with.

If a post of mine is completely ignored, or read contrary to the actual printed words, I may on correct, or clarify on occasion.

Most on this and other boards are fan of a team and a driver. Some drivers we like, some we loathe, some teams we like some we loathe. The reason for our liking and disliking is arguably always emotional, so can not really be used for an argument. But that is waht maskes us fans, and what makes a board like this interesting.

My personal view is that we really need that "general area" - Then the F1 discussions can take place, without the threads being "soiled" by those, who wish nothing but hear themselves "yell" higher than the other boys or gilrs. And the "Racing" forum would be wehre we discussed and argued F1 in a semi-coherrent manner.

But that is just me.

I take it I am still permitted to molest the females?

And when you've finished, you can sling some carpet and paint our way.The Trivia room will be open again(I'm thinking of going for the multi-coloured splodge walls I had at my old flat. That was fun coming home after a night out and seeing reds and blues and greens and yellow parading before your eyes)

Is the secret spyhole still in the wall?

Based on the postings my Mr. Ed, there will be no molesting of anyone allowed.

Any action indicative of force of will, which will surely not be allowed.

I will appreciate all female posters for their inner and outer beauty, and only cavort with those willing and interested.

Guys this is off topic please!

And the general area has yet to open and I can see potential problems. This is a forum that people come to relax and enjoy themselves but never by irritating other fellow members so please keep that in mind.

Lets enjoy our forum.

1st practice soon and the real work starts
(apologies for the short down time, we should be back operational now!!. I am told another update is scheduled for tomorrow!!)

In about an hour from now, guess we will see little running from some of the drivers.

Ferrari need to try the various Bridgestone choices on track, but I would not expect many laps from eother driver in any of the sessions today. With a full day of doing nothing tomorrow (except the top hat club), all drivers should make at least a small appearence, but I would not be surprised if some will run as little as 3 timed laps in total today.

Temperatures today will be a high of 20 degrees Celcius, and a low of 11. As the season have shown sofar, there is no real "Michelin weather" and "Bridgestone weather" - It's more a case of the tires being capable of giving fast laps when "cold", losing their edge for some laps and coming back and to ebcome every faster as time / race wears on.

You all know what I hope for the race, my expectations may be dented slightly but not until Q1 have been run.

We all have our preferred driver(s).

Currently and until he possibly retire I am with Michael Schumacher. Once he is out of F1 (if he do one day retire) I will be with Fernando Alonso.

Back in time I have liked winners and losers, favorite all time was Keke Rosberg - It will be a hard argument getting him into the best top-25 all time on talent, but he was "just the thing" for me.

I also had a soft spot for De Cesaris, Surer, Alboreto, Patrese, Regazzoni, Laffitte, Tambay.

Never really liked Senna, Prost, Lauda - But I admit that they were much better F1 drivers than "my guys".

I don't like Montoya and Raikkonen.
