What you talking bout Willis????
A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof: ?The world is not run by thought, nor by imagination, but by opinion?(Elizabeth Drew).
A judgment based on special knowledge and given by an expert: a medical opinion.
A judgment or estimation of the merit of a person or thing: has a low opinion of braggarts.
The prevailing view: public opinion.
Law. A formal statement by a court or other adjudicative body of the legal reasons and principles for the conclusions of the court.
Perhaps you would prefer the word(s) View or sentiment or conviction or sentiment or belief.
Keep smiling and remember ... Opinions are like a@#$%^&*!, everyone has one.

Thats the problem with opinions....Everybody thinks theirs is right!!

Just have a look at politics. All the protests/TV ads over the war in Iraq/Afghanistan and IR are all because people have different opinions to the people elected to run the country.

There is nothing wrong with heated discussion. At the end of the day time will prove one of them right. It just may not be the person you think is right.
I disagree.

I fully agree. We are all entitled to our own opinion. The problem here isn't differing opinions, it is false accusations that are then labeled as facts.

In falsely accusing me of saying something, that is no longer an opinion.

But as I said before, he'll never be able to find proof to his "so called" facts cause I never said such things.

And the Webber vs Heidfeld argument that Heidfeld scored more points because Webber had more mechanical failures is absolute rubbish. Look up the record from last year and see how many times did each of them retire due to mechanical failure when they were team-mates.
Yet he labels it as fact!

Nothing to do with opinion Jacfan!

I doffs me lid, and bow down before you, in humble apologetic abject humility, Queen JayVee.

I must have been having a bad hair day, and imagined you adopted the "Alonso the Cute" phrase I was the first to post on this forum.
I must have been an idiot to misread your posts about Jacques and what he was going to do in '05, back when you were teaching me how to post and edit.
Similarly I am an idiot to think that I should have an opinion different to yours about Alonso.
I guess JV will be the only F1 driver of our time to win only 1 WDC.
I know, and admit, and apologise to all who have endured the postings of yesterday, that I finally snapped, when confronted by yet another post eulogising a one time winner of the WDC (yes TK, I do believe you would have won it in the same car......hells bells 10 years ago I would have  )

Don't know what you are apologising for (except that silly marriage thing)

You haven't clarified anything about those facts of yours. You have falsely stated that I have consistantly denigrated Webber ? You need to show me a post where I did that or withdraw that statement otherwise it is no use apologising.

You said I thought Klien had the goods on Webber in 04, again you need to show me a post where I did that

You stated as a fact that Heidfield outscored Webber thru Webber retiring with mechanical failure more. That is wrong but you haven't admitted it so what are you apologising for ?

On Alonso The Cute, just to set the record straight, I was the first to describe him as cute on the forum. On April 6th 2005 I said:
JayVee wrote:Look what have you started lemon_martini2 :crush:

Alonso is kinda cute actually
Your replies were:
Julian Mayo wrote:he might be if you stood him next to schuey
then
Julian Mayo wrote:Time lag!!!! I was referrring to Alonso being cute
In a later post you mentioned Alonso The Cute as a reference to what I said above and I said I like that phrase and I'll use it.

On Villeneuve/Alonso, on April 4th 2005 you said:
Julian Mayo wrote:No, I drink from them. He was the first to say he stuffed up! I did not think I had to say it again, for him  :crush: JV will be pushed, fairly soon :alright: I take it Alonso is the flavour of the month, (season) and You too have cast JV aside like an old shoe  :TOTW:
and I replied:
JayVee wrote:No you didn't need to repeat what Webber said but calling it 'norm'

Alonso impressed me since I saw him in Bahrain last year and since then I've been a fan of his.
Alonso wasn't champion in 2004 and had just taken the lead in the championship in 2005 when I made that statement.

This proves how wrong your silly statement is about me jumping ship and supporting Alonso when he became World Champion.

Also in August 2005 when asked who my favourite drivers where I said:
JayVee wrote:Just realised I didn't list my favourites:

Alonso and Villeneuve (both :D )

And Senna of course
Villeneuve won in 97 and his career went downhill from there, I continued supporting him throughout his career and still do. If it is in my character "when it became apparant that JV wasn't going to do well" that I jump ship, I would have in 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 but I didn't and haven't. Hell I still use JayVee as my sign name.

Williams' problems are anything but a lack of funds! The engine manufacturer's must have become weary of Sir Frankstein turning into Mr Hyde. Target a top LeMans engine supplier and hit 'em up. Frank 'n' Head should've gone after Audi, Chrysler, Cadillac or maybe Bentley! How cool would that have been...Williams-Bentley!

Funding is not a problem for Williams. They just dropped too many balls!!

RE30B#16 wrote: Funding is not a problem for Williams. They just dropped too many balls!!
They will bounce back eventually but until that happens I am afraid they will lose quite a bit of supporters. Toyota engines will prove to be a step up from Cosworth (at least reliability-wise) but as long as the aero package is not up to par with the likes of Honda, Toyota and BMW they are condemned to #7 or 8 spot in the constructors' table. My personal prediction is an average 2007 season with a #5 spot for Williams until they can put the Toyota engines to full work. By 2008 we'll have the engine freeze in effect and the teams will be able to buy chassis from other manufacturers, making further predictions real tough.

Any ideas?
