Do we want drivers to speak their minds or not ?Snowy wrote:The thing is FA has now painted himself into a corner. Schumacher as the championship stands has nothing to gain from his usual 'oh well if you want an accident lets have one' manuvres. He needs to finish the races, he needs to score more points than Alonso. If it comes down to the last race and Alonso is ahead on points and Schuey is trying to overtake on the last lap in a much faster car will Alonso let him through and loose the WC? Because he has publicly denounced Schuey for doing his thing he will be in a bit of a pickle if he doesn't.Julian Mayo wrote: Weber, Shumaker's manager has said that Alonso's comment about Schumaker being the most unsporting driver..........etc is pitiful and Schumaker will answer that on the track.![]()
HowNot only will he have lowered himself to the level of a seven time world champion, demeaned himself in public, shown himself to be a hipocryte and shamed himself; he'll also have to live with himself. I think it's a very good policy never to mention anybody elses failings just in case you fail the same way or worse still invoke the demon of the Commentators Curse
And we are all familiar with that querky little b****rd in motorsport.
......S**t

Anyway, just because one driver thinks it is OK to shunt another off it doesn't mean that it is OK and everyone else should do it.
Alonso has shown class in the past and will continue to do so. If in Brazil he is leading in the points and Michael is about to overtake, he will not take him out. He will make it very difficult, yes, just as we saw in Turkey.
It is the other way that you would have to question. If Michael is leading in Brazil and Alonso attempts to overtake, will Michael take him out.
Based on his history, the answer would be yes.
And that would be a fair exit for Michael from the sport.
And the FIA will penalise him by revoking his superlicense

Either scenario could happen but I have a feeling that Alonso would be leading by 8 to 10 points by the time they get to Brazil and it may not matter.
