Update on 91st Indy 500.........

The race is currently red-flagged due to rain; track officials and race control have ordered all the cars back to pitlane......it is hoped that the race can be run before 8:30 pm due to the lack of track-lights at the Brickyard...........

Race control ordering drivers back to their cars; teams are currently watching the weather data because there are reports that additional rain is enroute to the Brickyard.........

Engines have been restarted; awaiting the signal from race control to return to the track........

Track is yellow; green flag will wave the third time by..........

Pits are open; many teams are taking the opportunity to fill up the fuel tanks and putting on new tires...........

Marco's right on Kanaan's tail going through 2; Patrick and Meira battling for 3-4............

Scheckter charging through the field; has moved from 19th all the way to 11th............ :shock: :shock:

Marco's in the lead now; Kanaan 2nd, Patrick 3rd....................

The first three cars have a bit of separation on four; Patrick setting up Marco; can't quite get it done in one......

Wheldon moving into 6th; top-3 still unchanged.................

Patrick moves into 2nd, blowing by Marco down the frontstretch.......Kanaan still leads

Kanaan still leads, but the crowds are on their feet as Patrick slowly reels in her teammate; Marco still in third and Meira in 4th..........everyone's driving as if it's lap 190, not lap 121!!! :shock: :shock:

AGR 1-2-3, but watch out for Castroneves and Wheldon in 4th and 5th; they are running back-to-back using the slipstream to try to reel in the to-3.............

Kanaan still leads, Patrick 2nd, little 'ole Marco 3rd

First five cars have a bit of separation from the peloton'............

Hornish makes a move around Carpenter exiting turn 4 for 8th; Scheckter now 9th...........

Wheldon and Castroneves have switched 4th/5th the past couple of turns.........Kanaan still leads, Patrick now less than .15 sec. back

Wheldon back to 4th and has put a little distance on Castroneves; Kanaan, Patrick and Marco still 1-2-3............

Marco tries to draft off Danica, can't quite get close enough to pass; Patrick still 2nd, Marco 3rd...........

Couple of drivers breaking off to pitlane.......looks like Carpenter was the only frontrunner to pit; Carpenter and Scheckter have run well all month long.....could we see them up front at race's end?

Kanaan and Patrick now breaking away from the pack; both drivers within 4/10th's of each other..........
