Torro Rosso drop Alguesuari and take on Bruno Senna... Renault boot out Petrov who finds a spot at HRT next year taking a large amount of Russian money with him, leaving Renault with an open seat. Ferrari buys out Massa's contract at the end of the year in order to hire a new mystery driver they have been looking at. Massa ends up arriving at Renault to pair up with kub-kub and we all wait in anticipation. Shumacher sits tight for one more year with Rosberg outpacing him race by race only to retire at the end of 2011 with complaints of favoritism. He and Mark Webber have lunch.

Ferrari wait until just before pre-season testing to reveal that they have signed David Coulthard who is wanting to make his own Shumiesque comeback....

Bit speculative?

*Note to self............no more Old Forester bourbon tonight.....*

Interesting................very speculative, but interesting................ 8)
Of course, if we look out even further, we could see T-K on the F1 grid; maybe even the Indycar grid............... 8)

There's always sports-car racing, my friend.........can't you just picture yourself standing on the top step of the podium after winning the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring......or even LeMans? :) 8)

Can't you just see it.........T-K wins the Rolex 24 at Daytona w/Max "the Axe" Angelelli, Ricky "the Kid" Taylor and......and........so who could the fourth driver be? For instance..........
---A.J. Allmendinger from NASCAR land? 8)
---any of The Captain's drivers from the IndyCar Series? 8)
---any of the Swiss Misses from the 24 Hours of LeMans? 8) ;)

Anyway..........one can see great things in T-K's future............... 8)

:D Clearly you guys are having way too much fun. They don't call it 'silly season' because it makes sense, do they?

Let's see: it SEEMS clear enough that Deitrich M (howeveryouspellhislastname) is content with his drivers (what he NEEDS is a team manager!!) so the Webbo and the Boy Genius Vettel will not move, tho' it would be wonderful to see Jenson Button in RBR livery contesting with the Webbo! 8)

I don't really expect any changes over at Brawn Racing --oops, I mean Mercedes 8) -- because they don't have any more money for things like drivers; hell, they hardly have any money for chassises do they!? :(

What about Luca's little Maranello crew?

Hell, they won't even be REMEMBERED next year if they don't have Fernando Alonso, (the best driver in F1 since the Kimster left to go rallying. 8) The only REAL question is whether somebody can offer the Spaniard enough cash for him to give up on the red cars. Too bad because, as I said, Red Bull won't have a seat open and neither will McLaren --and even if they did, he'd NEVER go back to them.

So I expect Fernando will try for one more year in red. What about little Phil, his team-mate? Don't know. If Luca dumps him I think Renault may want him to partner Kubica ... or maybe Frank Williams will pick him up to partner Rubens? And, if Ferrari REALLY IS nuts enough to let Massa go, who will replace him?

I guess Kubica COULD move up to partner Fernando --and it would be fun to see the Ferraris finishing close to one another again. But what would be the point other than to demonstrate poor Robert's incredible bad luck in finding a car that can win!!! It would be just his luck to move to Ferrari just when Renault starts contending with McLaren & RBR!!

Going any further down the ladder of teams doesn't make much sense to me. Toro Rosso is probably only on the grid because said Dietrich made a deal with Bernie E. (I hope he got enough of the E-stone's money to make him hurt a little, but I doubt it.) to prevent the world press from laffing out loud at the F1 so-called 'grid' next year.

Oh, if only we could start over and have real QUALIFICATIONS for F1 racing. Of course, then the entire field wouldn't be much more than fourteen or maybe sixteen drivers. But there would be racing, wouldn't there --as opposed to --20 laps in-- obstacle course driving.

Oh never mind, friends, I'm just in a gloomy mood today!

I'm sure I'll feel better after Webber wins at Hockenheim next Sunday!
