But this time around,he's in the limelight(darklight) for lack of wickets & the england batsman picking him to demoralise the aus team.

Tait i feel would be under pressure in this crucial test & of what i know of trent bridge,it would be batsman's paradise.
Tait can get an ugly rearing ball off the back of a dead sheep, Kappy

He is from the bush, and, like McGrath, won't be overawed by the occasion ( I hope)

In all fairness Kappy the 3 English batsmen we have seen so far are gaining confidence with every outing, they are improving every time out at the crease ! This team could easily go to the top and stay there for a while.
Ponting needs to become an active captain, get around to his bowlers, be seen and heard, or we are standing on the deck of the bloody Titanic

I agree here with you Julian, especially Tresco!!!

But i would still not read much into this 1st session of 1st day.The pitch looks like a batting paradise, mayb it would be an apportunity for the Hayden & Langer to get back to their best.

To be honest with u,i dont like Pointing as a captain.Non aggressive, not ready to attack. He's got this Super successive team on plater & with a couple of key players either injured or out of form,he's looking a little nervous of losing the Ashes now!!

Ur rgt,he needs to take charge, but i doubt he would.Warne a better bet i think.
