I almost got the upset result right. Ireland and Zimbabwe tied their match. Ireland scored 221/9 in fifty overs and Zimbabwe got the same score (all out) which is unusual in cricket. Zimbabwe should have won it.

In the other game Sri Lanka made 321/6 in fifty overs then dismissed Bermuda for 78.

Tonight New Zealand and England play. As both sides should make it into the next round, both sides would want to win to carry the win points into the second round. This game is too hard for me to make a prediction on.

In the second game South Africa should thrash the Netherlands.

It would be good to see who others here think would make the semis and win it.

New Zealand have beaten England by six wickets in their match. England scored 209/7 in fifty overs. New Zealand had shocker of a start in the run chase being 3/2 and 19/3 at one stage.

In a rain shortened forty over match, South Africa scored 353/3. In reply Netherlands made 132/9. I hate to see what Australia are going to do against the Netherlands.

India should beat Bangladesh in tomorrows game. Bangladesh can be tricky opponents though and they did beat New Zealand in a warm up match. In the other upcoming match Pakistan should thrash Ireland.

Two major upsets in todays games.

Ireland have beaten Pakistan in todays match. :shock2: Pakistan was dismissed for 132 then Ireland scored the required runs with three wickets in hand. Irelands target got reduced slightly under the D/L rules. Pakistan can not make it into the super eights.

Bangladesh have beaten India in the other game. :shock2: India made 191 and Bangladesh made it for the lose of five wickets.

Next games up. England should beat Canada and Australia should destroy the Netherlands.

Todays games went as expected.

Australia scored 358/5 in fifty overs then dismissed Netherlands for 129. Australia are now confirmed for the super eights. The Netherlands can not make it.

England made 271/6 against Canada. Canada replied with a respectable 228/7. Canada can not make it into the super eights.

On a sad note. I was shocked to hear of the death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer. A true gentleman.

Next games. India should thrash Bermuda. I'm picking West Indies to beat Zimbabwe.

As expected India thrashed Bermuda. India scored 413/5 in fifty overs. Bermuda replied with only 156. India's big win means it's net run rate might help it to make it into the super eight stage depending on other results. Bermuda can't make it into the super eights.

West Indies beat Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe scored 202/5. West Indies passed that score after 47.5 overs with the loss of only four wickets. West Indies are confirmed in the super eights.

Next games. South Africa should thrash Scotland. New Zealand should beat Kenya.

Todays games went as expected. Scotland made 180. South Africa made that score in only 23.3 overs for the loss of three wickets. South Africa are into the super eights and Scotland can't make it. New Zealand made 331 /7. Kenya replied with only 183. New Zealand are into the super eights.

Next games: Sri lanka should beat Bangladesh. It's hard to know what state of mind the Pakistan side will be in their match against Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe must win this match and hope Ireland loses it's next match and have a better net run rate than Ireland to make it into the next round.

In todays games Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 198 runs (D/L method) Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 93 runs.(D/L method) It seems to rain in the afternoon alot in the Caribbean.

Tonights games are meaningless. New Zealand play Canada and Scotland play Netherlands.

Teams that are into the super eights so far are: Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies and Ireland.

In group B two of these three sides will make it: Sri Lanla, India. Bangladesh. In group C, the winner of the game between England and Kenya will make it.

In todays games New Zealand beat Canada by 114 runs. New Zealand made 363. Netherlands beat Scotland by eight wickets.

Big game tonight. Sri Lanka against India. This game is too hard to predict. Both teams need to win it. Also tonight Ireland play West Indies. It should be an easy win for the West Indies. The winner will start the super eight round on two points.

Sri Lanka have beaten India by 69 runs. Sri Lanla go into the super eights with two points while India need a miracle of Bermuda beating Bangladesh in the last group c game.

West Indies have beaten Ireland by eight wickets (D/L Method) West Indies carry two points into the super eights.

Next games. Australia play South Africa. The winner will carry two points over into the super eight rounds. England should beat Kenya in a game that the winner makes it into the super eights.
